I have a 2017 Tacoma and hear a howling/whistle noise when the AC is on. Is that normal? It stays on only for a few seconds but is louder when the ambient temp is hotter.

I get that too. I was thinking it’s air flow howl but not sure

I just started hearing a noise like the one you are describing. It seems to occur at about 2000 rpm and last for only a few seconds when I have my A/C on. Hope it's not an issue.

Mine does it too. But, mainly when it's humid out. I live in the desert and normally I don't hear that noise -- unless it's monsoon season.
