Went looking for Old Crow, came home with this. Shelf priced showed $22.95 which seemed a bit high, she tried to ring it up at $28.95. For $30 I can get OF 100. She did honor the lower price. It was a decent (for the money) bourbon until I compared it to EW BiB.....

2 months ago I’d never heard of this bourbon, more and more it’s what I reach for as a go-to pour.

Reminds me of Buffalo Trace, perhaps smoother and definitely easier to locate.

    …time to locate another one.

I am scared to death that the BT hypers are going to find out about WT101 and RR10 and figure out they're easier to find and don't have stupid pricing issues like BT and ER.

I don't think you'd be disappointed with either, IMO the RR10 is the value for the same reason ER used to be: Age stated 10 y/o bourbon at $40 a bottle. That's an increasingly rare thing.

It's damn good stuff. When I find it at regular retail I snap it up. I also like the bottle and we find uses for them. Holds vodka and kumquatcello in the freezer... My favorite bottle shape is Hibiki. I can't bring myself to throw them out so I end up squirreling them away. Along with Blanton bottles. Some day I'll find a use for them.

Single barrels are amazing…not sure it’s worth the 20 price jump from RR10, but the last two I opened were some good juice

    I’ll probably try both.

Man, my “to try list” is still far too long.

    Prohibition 1920
    Both Russel’s
