Let's See Your Cats!!!

I'm a dude with a cat. It was an inclusive post many years ago.

 

Obligatory cat contribution.

 

Cheddar got his annual checkup/vaccinations today. Vet wanted specimens, not easy because he's an indoor/outdoor cat. Blocked the cat door with his enclosed plastic cat box outside yesterday afternoon, with intentions of easy collection this morning. Damn cat drove me nuts all evening and overnight, wanting out. Refused to use the cat box, and had a gut like he was pregnant. finally had to let him out at 5AM, and followed him around with sandwich bags, wearing only my underwear. No dice. Cat led me on a wild goose chase, climbed the fence and sat there looking at me as if to say "Follow me now, sucker!" He got a clean bill of health, Vet says he's only gained 4 oz since first of the year, so he's not overweight, but at 14 lbs 3 oz, being just 1 1/2 yrs old, he's gonna be a BIG CAT.

One of the little ones. Just about all of them will come to you, little meows along the way.

 

I tell my cat she is beautiful all the time. Her response is usually along the lines of ‘yes, go on.’

A few recents of my sleepy felines

 

An ex of mine had a cat that hung about outside mostly. House was in the foothills, so a lot of coyotes roaming around. One day we are inside and see her cat, Sweetie, bolt across the yard with a coyote at her tail. We jumped up to run outside then suddenly see the coyote bolt the opposite direction with Sweetie at its tail haha. I couldn't believe my eyes at first

 

Those are the cats I have known... Never run, protect your turf, and when a bigger dog comes close, pop him in the nose once and he'll get the message. Probably why Baker only pricks on me... Ouch, "No claws." usually works, unless I'm not getting up to follow him.

I’ve have a basket full of cat toys that I spent hundreds of $$$ on over the years but an old cardboard box or paper shopping bag wins out every time. It’s a cat thing.
