Kids and I ran some errands and went to sportsman warehouse to get some fishing stuff. We were halfway home and Sadie spotted the Good Year blimp so I turned around and tried to get closer.

After this picture, I said we can do better.

30 minutes later we were almost under it.

They were so excited, it was pretty cool watching it. The Wyndham golf tournament is going on this weekend.

    Oh yeah, fishing stuff :D

It’s the most expensive one I’ve ever bought but it was 25% off for $59

Been thundering since we got home, it already rained once while we were gone. We needed the rain though!

I just bought a zebco spin-cast 33 platinum for my flipping rod. After 25 years I figured it was time for a change. Will keep the old one for a kid that may need a rod and reel.

It has a 10 lb drag and with 12# test it’s all I need to flip.
My baitcasters have 30# spider wire so I have no problem running frogs through the pads.

Hey Doug, I was just logging in to give a update.
Worked on the Corvette a little first thing...I have the incorrect water pump :annoyed:
The transmission is so far so good! I suggested to Mike that we rebuild the overdrive unit first and separate, cuts down on disassembled components. He agreed. The OD unit is rebuilt and bagged up all but the last set of frictions/plates and we need a wavy snap ring that was broken. They come in different thickness so he will order a .052" or so.
Couple pictures, we're moving on to the main body now. Only tool we've lacked so far is a extra long snap-ring plier.. to remove a bearing then replace a bushing. ( we may measure and skip bushing, bearing is like new)

What are you running that requires 6 guage wire?

A 30 amo breaker only needs 10 gauge if less than 70 feet.

I would put at least a 60amp sub panel in. 30 would not cover all my use.

    Are you sure?

I have a 6 HP air compressor, plasma table, 2 welders, a mini split heater/air conditioner and lighting on amp 30 panel.

Unless you have 4 people using all those pieces of equipment, I find it hard to believe you need more than a 30 amp panel.

Always better to have than want with electricity in my book.
It cost less to go big once rather than discover more is needed and have to rework later.

So glad I did all that before material prices went through the roof -- and hopefully I can stay out of that attic for a long time, forever would be good. ;)

That's cool you saw the Blimp. It's home base is only about 30 miles north of here.

So I finally got my bolt bins set up a few days ago, I'm an HVAC contractor and have been busy with work hence the delay. I did end up switching the bins with the tool box since there was a joint in the floor causing the bins to not sit flush on the ground.
    20220726_143710.jpg

I did get some help sorting and organizing though.

    20220805_115017.jpg

I'm almost done with a few bins to spare, so I guess I bought just about the right amount... for now.

I have not seen the blimp for so long I can't remember. Used to see it from time to time when I was a kid. :notsure:
