These poor people have not had a good summer. It’s been there a couple of weeks.

    THE BIG PINE GAZETTE
    Breaking news......

A local man was pronounced missing earlier this month according to law officials. Beloved TacomaWorld member Dan @Hobbs was reported missing two weeks ago by concerned citizen @tclavell. Investigators still have no clue to his whereabouts.
    Here's what we know:

Dan's truck was seen several times in the June Lake area.
    Screenshot_20220806-140720_Messages.jpg

    Screenshot_20220806-140713_Messages.jpg
Later that day it was reported as abandoned by a local Sierra Mountain resident.
    Screenshot_20220806-140857_Messages.jpg
When asked about the scene, the first responders were quoted as saying, "there was a large amount of coarse, black hair at the scene". Our sources also tell us that the area smelled "stanky" and was "extremely moist". o_O

We also know that he visited this diner at some point in time.
    Screenshot_20220806-144354_Messages.jpg
Investigators interrogated the employees at the diner, but only one was willing to talk.
Waitress @SRH had this to say...."yeah, that feller was here. I remember him because he was wearing assless chaps, Hey Dudes and a I ❤️ Hobbs tee shirt. When I refused to give him my phone number he got all huffy and ran outta here without eating a single bite of his pastrami and fries".
    Screenshot_20220806-152411_Messages.jpg

DNA experts were called in to try to get a print off of the fries, but it seems as though @Hobbs is smarter than they thought, he gets rid of any possible DNA evidence.
    Screenshot_20220806-152402_Messages.jpg
Various TacomaWorld members have been interviewed, here's what a few of them had to say.

@FishnTx said, " he up dair wif dem squatches!!"

@Taco critter was quoted as saying, "hmm".

All Carolina resident @six5crèéd had to say about @Hobbs was, " ".

We asked @Gen1TacoLady about his survival chances amongst those Hobbsquatches in that region. She's the cofounder and spokesperson for the Keep Them Hobbsquatches Alive movement, here's what she had to say....
This time of year the Hobbsquatches are attempting to build up their fat reserves for the upcoming winter, there's zero chance @Hobbs is gonna make it." :pout:

Long time friend @Gritto is still being questioned, in fact, we have a live feed of our reporter questioning him at this very minute.

If you have any information leading to the location of this individual please give us a call, he owes me $20. Also, a reward has been set up for his benefit, @six5crèéd tell them what they may get!!

Cuz it's heavy (inertia) and the cylinder can be therefore be made small.

Let's see if I can explain the reasoning.
As the firearm recoils, the mercury moves forward (relatively) in the cylinder.
As the firearm moves rearwards it has to overcome the inertia of the mercury.
Since the cylinder is only partially filled with mercury, the braking effect is spread out somewhat.

I'm doubtful that this offers any advantage over the mere addition of weight.

I used this weight clamped onto the underside of the barrel of the top single of my K-80 just ahead of the fore end.
On the odd times when I shot the Beretta, I'd transfer over the weight, but mount it slightly further forward.
The point was to smooth out my swing.

Some people (me included) tend to move too quickly towards the bird if the gun is muzzle light.
But this is a highly individual thing.
Most of my teammates who tried my shotguns felt that they were far too heavy, especially in front. :notsure:
