Affordable AAL that does not require cutting

Gents,

I come to you as other numerous times for advice.. I just purchased 5100 all four corners and want to lift truck 1.5” keep the rake and at the begging, I was more inclined on adding a block but since these leafs like to be on a sad position (which has never seem normal to me) y want them to be happy and smile again so I would want to add a leaf and gain 1.5”

BUT

I do not want to cut anything. I am mechanically inclined BUT with 3 very young kids I had ZERO time to do anything other than wiping butts and feeding them..

so,

I will perform suspension swap probably between 8pm/ 12 am on a weekend on driveway and really do not want to buy an AAL and then have to cut things to install it.

I will jack truck Friday night and hopefully be done by Sunday…

I think you’d be better off just buying a new lead pack

 

Adding AAL does not require cutting.
Unless center bolt in the pack got rusted.
Need deep socket for u bolts and good C clamps and ...time.

 

Headstrong aal is what I got. It doesn't require you to cut the bracket.

 

Here's a video from Exit offroad if ya need it. The first 11 minutes goes into coilover replacement, but the coilovers come pre-assembled. Are yours pre-assembled, or are you assembling them yourself?

Crazy idea here, but if you occasionaly carry a lot weight, you might consider airbags and daystar cradles. Just the minimum 5psi in bags provides about +1" ride height.

 

Take a look at Icon's RXT leaf pack. Comes assembled at stage 1 with two options that add lift for future upgrades. Great product!

 

Cutting the leaf spring bracket/clip was about 5 minutes per side on my icon AAL install. If you have an angle grinder its quick.

 

Installed the Wheelers AL22 1.5 inch. Literally whole thing done in about an hour. Only thing I had to cut was the new pin for the leaf pack. Hacksaw and about 20 seconds for that
