Guy posted about it on social media over a year and a half ago, then went silent.

Posted again months later, then started making them available for everyone.

Core charge for LBJ's, that and the whole thing is pretty pricey.

Think most of us have accepted that OEM LBJs are enough.

Unfortunately thats the risk you take with shelter dogs. Same thing happened to my sister and her husband when they got a rescue beagle. They're in a 3rd floor apartment and you could stand in the parking lot and hear the dog baying. It had to go back.

Now they have a 12 year old obese chiweenie that's a perfect apartment dog. Damn thing can go 10-12 hours between piss breaks.

This is why I despise automotive wiring and often times refuse to work on it. No codes, no proper colors etc. And the damn schematics make zero logical sense.

$750 buys a lot of OEM ball joints too

I'm probably wrong but also I think uniballs require to be greased a lot more frequently especially when exposed to winter weather conditions

I've been looking at some 60 front listings to decide if I want to start building a spare axle for the crawler... Just in case

How many more wheeling trips do you gotta make before you decide it's time to upgrade the LC? :D

Well, I consider the LC a downgrade from the 3rd gen 4Runner already. lol

Dude it's funny you say that.

Don't know if you saw the recent trip to my local yard, where I only spent $20.

I got a 12" by 12" by 3/16" base plate, just because I told myself "this could come in handy"

Looks to be cold-rolled too like my bumper steel.

They have tons of pre-cut numbers, pre-drilled base plates, hell even steel for target practice.

I was easily overwhelmed and left out of fear I'd buy shit I wouldn't need.

Ooo have you used one? Definitely something that I could use. Half the circuits in the shop are dead and I haven't invested a lot of energy in figuring out why lol

Just yanking your chain man. I will say this though. I've pulled out more then a few stuck LC's on trails over the years. I've never been pulled out by a LC. lol

Really the only upgrades I want/need are a selectable rear locker, some armor in the rear, and selectable front locker.

They could be like Jeep people; just cause they're solid axle they don't make you a better driver.

You and I both know experience can easily put you ahead of someone in a "better" rig.

Exactly. My rig is built for crawling. No matter how good any rig is one with dual cases and dual locked will always be better then a rig without those. Experience and knowing your rig goes a long way.

If you put me behind the wheel of a LC right now it would take some time for me to get used to how it tracks compared to my 4Runner. Each rig is different. When I spot buddies with DCLB Taco's I send them on a totally different line then I take because the turning radius is comparable to a stretch limo. lol
