Anybody on here that the jd fab pivot kit? I’m thinking about getting it to correct my camburg kit I went to 35s and the tires hit the cab pretty bad and I have it aligned to 5.5 degrees of caster. Anybody else have this issue with a camburg kit?

Your issue is going 35s without the proper clearance work. The JD kit may solve this with additional caster or do the clearance work.

It's not just a Camburg kit issue. All kits will have a similar outcome

I don't view the JD Fabs lower pivot kit as just a way to improve caster or to just move the LCA forward. It does do those things but why I really chose it is. The lower pivot gets rid of the thin stamped steel vulnerable mounts and creates a solid foundation for your entire front suspension. I can't see why anybody would spend thousands on arms, shocks, big tires etc. and hang it on the stock mounts. JD Fabs lower pivot kit is what everybody should start with. It is the foundation. The next two items should be the spindle reinforcement and the double sheer upper arm supports.

yeah that’s one reason I want the kit also my buddy monkeyproof has already cracked his mounts twice I believe. But I would also like to move the lower 1” forward as the camburg kit doesn’t have this built into the lower arm like most other kits. I have friends with total chaos and lsk kits and they have way more room by the firewall then me with less caster

Just be aware you will have clearance issues at full stuff in the front near the headlight. Realistically, with long travel and 35s, to get full travel the whole wheel well should be rubbed pretty high

No clue about the JD pivots with other kits. But they have been fantastic for me. However I’m also running their LT kit which pushes forward also. So firewall clearance was a breeze. As said though still hit the inners on full stuff. Just need time to put on the inners.

Is there a pump/fuel cell that works out of the box with 2nd Gen Tacomas? I just want to splice wires, change fittings and be done. I can’t get the clamping ring to seal worth a shit and I’m wanting a semi canned solution if it’s possible. Would prefer to keep the stock gas gauge

$1500 without a sender is overkill for what I need.

The tanks are mostly all the same.
Try this instead, it uses an o ring. I have it, but havent been offroad so im not sure if it leaks yet.

Can’t weld aluminum and would still have the clamping ring to deal with. I don’t know where I messed up. Might be the jeep sender is thicker or thinner and it just doesn’t want to clamp evenly with the taco pump. I might just make room for the stock tank back there and be done with it. I’m going to do bobbed bedsides so it would be covered up anyways. Held these up to it and decided I liked the look better haha
