Sure. Grew ‘em from seed anyways. That’s two plants I believe.

Bees just love this red stuff (Bee Balm) but it’s about a week away. Needs to ooze some before they come around. Powerful scarce this year so far. H. Birds are around lots though.

Canned 21 pints of fig jam over a couple of days. Figs are very sweet naturally, do not need add much. Low sugar, 1.5 cups of sugar to 16 cups of fruit. A touch of lemon juice to preserve color. No sugar pectin.

Canned 14 quarts of spiced pears.

I have 3 small fig trees, first year. So no fruit. Just want them to grow. They seem fine.

BUT one tree has ONE fig. It's about the size of just smaller than a golf ball, same size for months. Hard. Just sitting there. What's the scoop????

I’d really like to have more real fruit bearing trees. My family was European so it wasn’t uncommon to have one apple tree with 3 different varieties. Dad taught me how to do it but spotting the right branch is the tricky part. At least it’s real & not “ornamental” which to me translates to Trash. :)

I spent a week outside Portland and visited some friends that had a large fig tree... I stood there for about twenty minutes eating the figs. It was the best trip I had ever taken in my life (for other reasons) so many memories.

Take the fruit off. Tree is too immature.
Lime the daylights out of fig trees. They LOVE lime.
My Brown turkey is 10 years old, 16 ft tall, 16 ft wide (and I trimmed it past winter). Celeste is 12 ft tall, 8 ft wide, 6 years old. Another Brown Turkey is 2 years old, 4 ft x4 ft. I picked its fruit while green and tossed it.

This is was second picking off the 2 trees (first picking was bigger). Now we are picking just 2 bowls every other day. Deer and fruit bats are "helping" us every night. Deer season is coming soon. Vengeance (and free meat) will be mine!

Butter crunch is starting from last years roots. I guess we better get some seeds going for the fall crop.

    What are the white things?

I seen them before, but I thought they were hula hoops cut in half.

I guess it doesn't deterred rabbits.

It reminds of when I was younger when my father used PVC pipe in both fence post to wrap Christmas light around at the end of the driveway. We had to drive under the lighted arch to enter the driveway.
