We haven't had a credit card in 35 years. It's either debit or cash. We're both retired and debt free. Only the basic bills , electric, natural gas, cable and life insurance.

You'll hear no disagreeing from me on that one.

Credit cards will bite you in the ass real quick if you let them.
I don't foresee ever having a metric shit ton so credit scores are still important to me.

Along those lines, I just set up autopay for the Hyundai. I never wanted more than one car payment at a time and how I have three. :annoyed:

Original pool pump shaft was ceramic, my home made version looked like it may have been galvanized, the new version is stainless. Plugged it in and it works.

Didn't mean for what I said to sound uppity, because I don't have a ton of cash in the bank. That's just what I'm striving towards. I just hate credit card companies, banks and anybody else that takes advantage of the blue collar working middle class.

The garage has a 200 amp service, since it is not classed as residential I get billed at a different (higher) rate called "General Secondary - small".

If I use over 700KWH in two consecutive months it will kick me in GS - medium which is the same rate but with a demand charge added.

The demand charge comes into play when you start anything with a motor, their equipment measures the demand spike, the highest one determines the multiplier for the month.

All the electrical talk the last few days actually got me to work on an electric project today, seeing as I have so much stuff the materials didn't cost anything. It was too darn hot even inside to do any real work, so a low effort project was just the ticket.
