Hey all, I have a bunch of stuff that I need out of the garage! Located in south Lakewood.

Rhino Rack 270 Degree Awning - Drivers Side
-Mounted on the truck for 3-4 months, never even opened. Includes L-shaped mounting brackets that I mounted to slotted crossbars. $884 new, $600 here.

    297581780_2318327298315627_7957561182271198440_n.jpg

    Road Shower 7 Gallon Edition
-Brand new, never mounted. A couple small scuffs from sitting in the garage. Unfortunately I can't find the mounting hardware, but it should be available from Yakima, who now owns the product line. It is slotted, so you could likely put something together at Ace Hardware depending on your setup. $559 new, only $380 here.

    Hi Lift Jack
-Mounted in an enclosed truck bed but never actually used. In great shape. $70

    RCI Hi Lift Jack Mounts
-For 2nd and 3rd gen Taco bed rails, but can be bolted to anything you'd like. No bed track mounting hardware included. In perfect shape. $40

    297382192_375868781179416_4127624002303366069_n.jpg

RCI MaxTrax Bed Rack (Prior Gen) Mounting Brackets
-For previous gen of RCI bed rack, though may work with current ones. Can be mounted to anything else as well with the included hardware. Also includes MaxTrax mounting pins. $80

    297482324_365417065646195_8253495507735553258_n.jpg

If you are out driving around, someone has to be in the right/place time to see it. On the internet, it's in the same place, forever.
If someone sees it out in public, they have to jump hoops to correlate it with a person, and they'll have a hard time correlating it with you TW username.
Yes the govt has it, they issued the thing.

Does it help increase your privacy a lot? Probably not
Does it help at all? Probably

That was a real nice round about way of explaining absolutely nothing at all.

For the record, not hating.. just curious because i dont see any value in covering up a license plate on a TW forum but i see it all the time.

If you want something to be private you should play with it at home and avoid posting on public forums that discuss how you play with it and not let the neighbors see it every time you leave your house or return home. If car tags and vehicles were supposed to be so private they'd either get tucked away or someone would make pants for them. Until then it's silly to think your car tag is going to be the thing that causes an invasion of privacy.

Since you're genuinely curious... I'm with @xxTacocaTxx . Knowing that license plate XXX-YYY exists is one thing. Knowing that license plate XXX-YYY belongs to andrewtheadventurer is a different thing.

It's well-known that some entities (Amazon, your crazy ex, some rando who's upset by something you posted and wants to make your life difficult) will go to great lengths to put together seemingly trivial bits of info in ways that are more meaningful than the sum of their individual parts. Once something's on the internet it's impossible to guarantee it's gone from the internet. The tools for processing mass quantities of info improve every day. Image recognition tools that can read a license plate are already available to anyone with a little bit of tech savvy.

I don't expect to be the target of a crazy ex, or a doxxer, but I also don't think it's unreasonable to take a few seconds to scrub trivially-identifiable info from a picture as a precaution. I'd put it in the same category as using a pseudonym or not posting pictures of yourself. Some people are comfortable with real names and selfies, some would prefer an extra degree of anonymity, to each their own. "I've got nothing to hide" and "I don't want to share everything" aren't mutually exclusive.

Dude exactly, and really well put. I don't know why this "show your plate you wuss" is the hill so many people are trying to die on nowadays. Sorry but I'm going to link your post in the near future.

Looking for a Left front fender, bumper cover and possibly grille for my son's truck. I believe its Silver Streak Mica and would prefer not to have to paint.
    Thanks!

Started the listing at 42k and didn't get much traffic. At 38k I'd get a few people kicking tires. Real interest got drummed up when I dropped the price to 36,500. In the end I had two guys who made offers the same day; one at the full 36,500 who was located and Michigan and was getting a loan, the other was a local guy who had 35k in hand. Went local.
