I have a WEN 4214 DP, I'm pretty happy with it. I don't need to use a DP often so a cheap China one was fine with me. Also needed it to be a benchtop model so I can store it away when not in use.

But mine was used & the older yellow model. Sat for a while unused, then the pandemic hit so it became a Covid project. I ended up fully rebuilding it with all new Japanese bearings & did something about all that yellow.

 

Have you guys ever heard of this tuner?

No different than most others on our forum I'm sure.

Biggest issue people have is the transmission mapping, and a canned tune takes care of that for 99% it looks like.

Think I’m going to let some guy from El Salvador have my camper shell for $300. Not excited to deal with those convoy guys again to be honest though.

Too much damage to repair myself in a timely manor. Not to mention SnugTop dealers can’t even seem to get ahold of the company for parts. Crazy that someone paid $3200 total for this thing just ~5 years ago and it’s in 10x worse shape than my 20 year old ARE.

 

Guy whose wife bought my washer and dryer today is apparently like an executive JVC audio sales specialist and offered to get me discounted gear like their new headunit and speakers lol

Didn't have the heart to tell him nobody wants JVC

 

Interesting, how do you get ahold of those guys?

I have a few shitboxes I need gone that I think they'd like

 

They spam my Facebook marketplace posts and lowball whenever I list anything Toyota related.

They can get pretty rude. Met an off-road shop owner in Grand Junction that said one group of guys refused to leave his shop after they agreed on a price over marketplace but lowballed him in person.

No this was a smaller operation and more Jeep focused it looked like. Guy drove a SAS 1st gen Taco. I’d have to look through messages to remember the place.
