I like the AMP steps. Those look really good. You did an excellent job getting them to fit. That is the reason I haven’t got a set yet. Did not like they way they fit, but yours look good. Nice job.

Installed the DV8 winch mount bumper with the DV8 license plate mount and a Smittybilt 10k winch. Winch is awesome and fits in the bumper. I’m not too sure about the bumper. The fitment is not so great and the angle the winch rope goes over the fairlead makes it rub against the edge of the winch plate. I may look at putting the slot for the fairlead where the DV8 emblem cutout is. That would seem to line up to the winch spool better. The license plate mount does not work on their bumper. It does not raise high enough to get it out of the way of the rope and the driving position points the plate at the ground. :confused:CE121F34-7913-4AAA-BCFC-384CE72FA4EA.jpg11190115-3C65-4425-9B7D-B6643505A373.jpg77251010-46DD-40BF-9A2E-B859970C840A.jpg

I looked at that bumper, but one thing ultimately swayed me away from it:

Honestly I'm not an engineer so I don't know what loads those mount brackets can really take.

It's a good looking bumper. All I can say is if you wind up keeping it, be overly cautious when operating the winch.

Also added a DB Customz grille. Nice Grille, He needs to update the website photos for Tacos. The photos of the models online are outdated. Still like the new ones just as much. Caused some confusion when ordering.

Picked up some rubber mat material at Princess Auto and cut it to fit the floor of the box. Nothing too fancy, hopefully it will stop stuff from sliding around. It’s about 6 mm in thickness

i do it every 5k too- it sure can’t hurt. I just can’t get used to 10k being acceptable for an oil swap, so i’m sticking to what i’ve always done. I used synthetic penzoil usually and use k&n oil filters

Great looking truck! I keep thinking I should have held out for a different color other than white.

Same experience…they make a good product, and I love their Bugflector, but the packaging is less than stellar. Nothing of substance to protect the visors during shipping.

I love them! I'm on my second set on two tacomas. There are people who talk about their failure to provide uplight. But this is not a concern of mine and everything else about them is incredible

nothing. i had great plans this weekend to get all my bed lighting done, a dishwasher installed, and wash the truck.

then i get up at 6:30, hear the a/c kick on, walk outside, realize it's 78 degrees and climbing. at 6:30 in the morning.

so i did nothing. i'm outside enough the rest of the week, no reason to deal with that heat on my days off.

Exactly. They end up beat up and scratched. They look good if your not within a few feet lol. Im just going to live with it instead of fighting to try to get a decent set. Its a truck so..

Thanks, I appreciate that. I had to stray from the official instructions. They had it installed up under the front fender which flares out from the rocker panel. This made the gaps all goofy and it wasn't centered beneath the doors. I moved it back under the rockers and put shims in to bring them closer to the body and straighten it up. Took a lot of trial and error, but my eyes were going to go straight to it every time I walked up to it if I didn't.

I installed my RCI rock sliders and washed both rigs. The solo install was a bit of a challenge on the driver’s side, but a breeze on the passenger side. It probably would have been easier had my truck already been lifted. Yeah, I didn’t see that till I bought it. The winch mounts on the plate that bolts to the frame with the L bracket. I think winch operations should be ok but the recovery points are on the bumper and that load would go through those bolts.

Moved my backseat fridge slide to the bed. Milwaukee Packout slide mounts were a little tight on the carpet so my buddy made some custom 2mm spacers for me on his 3D printer.

Having installed these on my lifted Taco and my friends non-lifted. I’d say you dodged a bullet by installing these before the lift! As always RCI sliders look great…

I ordered a set off Amazon but they were damaged in shipping, and poor factory packaging so I sent them back and re ordered, 2nd set wasn't much better but at least they weren't broken. When I got my new 22 I picked up a set from my local auto parts store, no damage
