I was poking around at Lowes. Looks like making my own might be the only option.

If you could get an inline fuses/ breakers it would be safest and almost legit. I've been making and using those cords for 15+ years.

Only sketchy when an electrician sees you:anonymous:

Chances are the box is grounded. Pop the breaker off and look inside, if it is grounded, then you’ll at least have all 3 legs for a proper outlet, just ignore (cap off) the second 120 line and put a 120 outlet in there.

It might be. I think older machines that use this outlet have a separate ground strap that gets attached to this box somewhere.

You can definitely do that if it's grounded, but 10awg is wayyy overkill and gonna be a pain to manipulate. If the room is open you'd have a much easier time just sending a new line with 12 wire I think

Haven't been to the cape in a bit. Usually we end up there somehow pre-season. We went this year for a quick couple hours day trip. I'll be there weekend after labor day weather dependent!

We usually go a couple times a year off season. late enough that things are open but early enough school is still in and the hordes aren't there yet.

I was toying with the idea of putting those on my truck.

Spray foam insulation. Need blades long enough to go across studs 16 inches on Center. One is for half pound foam ( bread knife)the other is for 2# foam (wood saw)

You'd love my house, nothing is standard. Some are 12", some are 20". Only walls where the studs are at 16" O.C. are the ones I put up.

My daughter recently bought a condo in Austin. Early '60s construction. My son and I went there separately to do some work for her. Mostly putting up shelves and stuff. Studs were just randomly placed with out rhyme or reason.

Dry wall was like cardboard too.
