Working the night shift tonight. Tell me some good local rumors/gossip/news that may or may not be Tacoma or off road related.

Tonight’s night shift post- what kind of animal do you guys think could dig out these rocks? Came out in my back yard this morning and there was a huge pile pushed out onto the grass. I filled the hole back in and went out for a few hours and by the time I came back it was dug back out. Looks like something trying to burrow under the rock wall. I’ve only seen chipmunks back there and I wouldn’t think they could dig out rocks that big.

Got the game cam setup so hopefully I can figure out what it is and trap it.

I think the hole is too small for a raccoon. We have like 6-8” layer of that landscaping rock so it’s just seems like something that small wouldn’t be able to move all of it.

My guess would be armadillo if you were in Dallas where I currently am. Don’t think those are out there? They’re not huge but strong little fellas

Do we have rats up here? Or is this a chipmunk?

Edit or maybe this is a vole. Now that I look at pics. Whatever it is this little fucker has been tearing up my garden and yard and eating all my plants.

Looks like a soon to be dead rat to me. I'd set out a few old school traps in the area and bait a couple with a dap of peanut butter and try a couple with whole almonds pressed on. I had them in south Reno and killed at least a dozen of them over the last couple of years. Some were small and some were big bastards like that one.
