I haven’t removed the restrictor. It doesn’t happen all the time. I noticed it happens when you get in boost and you have to quickly let off the pedal (usually due to traffic).

likely something in the shifting logic / torque settings. Maybe they will fix it in the next version of the Tune = if they ever do a next version.

If you can consistently repeat it, log it and post/send it to Magnuson. Should be clear if it’s a converter lock up/unlock issue.

I have not felt it after a couple weeks of driving. I did remove the restrictor.

Any of you guys watching the AFR after pulling it out? No leaning out?

So is the consensus to remove the restrictor?

Smaller pulley for people who live at high altitudes? Is anyone doing this? How is the tsv1900 at flowing the additional air? Also on 91 octane.

I’m running an 87mm pulley just above sea level with no issues. On 92 octane

The TVS1900 has tons of room to grow.

Some of you boys complaining about a rotor noise just know it's NORMAL. There is nothing to worry about. That noise is your spring loaded coupler on the nose drive working..

If the noise is too hardcore and sounds like a can of marbles at idle or at any point then you have either have an issue with the spring loaded coupler or you have internal bearing issues. Spring loaded coupler failures are pretty commonplace and has been a thing ever since the blowers were introduced. They either last a fairly good amount of time or they just fail prematurely. My recommendation to the group as a collective would be to switch out to a solid coupler but just know this WILL increase rotor noise at idle, nothing wild, but it will be a little noiser. Not like a can of marbles but more like a *rawr rawr rawr* noise. That being said, I am not sure what the coupler looks like on the TVS units. On the M and MP Magnuson blowers they all shared the same type of coupler with the exception of onesies and twosies here and there. You guys may want to investigate what the factory one looks like and then match it to a solid aftermarket one that is most likely already currently being made for your TVS units.

For those contemplating whether or not to remove the restrictor, do it. Boost engages quicker and the blower builds vacuum sooner with it removed. Worst comes to worst, if you don't like it you can always reinstall the jet if you are not happy with the results.

The way I see it, you guys bought a performance part for your vehicle which is designed to add a significant amount of power. Open it up and make it perform the way it was supposed to and give it the breathing, and engagement it needs to act correctly.

The solid coupler is installed by Magnuson with these units. I was hopeful we would get the latest low profile Pentalobe coupler from their Hearbeat Supercharger line. It is touted as being quiet and a lifetime part... I'd rather listen to the other sweet noises these blowers produce. It does look like we receive the low profile driveshaft, though I'm not certain it is a Heartbeat feature. The bearing in the snout needs to be examined for size for size and support.

    What's the standard pulley size?
Did you use the standard tune or a custom one?

90mm is stock. Have been using the Stock Magnuson file and working with @mZiggy to get his Yotawerx software launched.

If any one was wondering here’s a 1/4 mile pull with a 1500lb tandem axle trailer. This is with a terrible start on an abandoned chip sealed road. Believe it or not I don’t have much practice launching with a trailer. Also I lifted enough to drop boost to 0 at about 80mph for obvious reasons. I hit 80 at 14.5 seconds and 1/4 mile at 84mph and 17.1 seconds so I could have gone MUCH faster (and tested the suspension in the ditch!). I don’t have a doubt I would have pulled a mid 16 at around 88mph if I wouldn’t have lifted and had a slightly better launch.

0-60 in 9 seconds. I’d bet I could get below an 8.5 with practice.

moral of the story. This really shows how much improvement the supercharger makes. With 4 extra tires of rolling resistance and 3/4 of a ton of extra weight the performance isn’t far off from a stock taco unloaded!

I probably won’t do this again. My daredevil side is sated for a few days now lol.

Any installers in the Phoenix area?

Only engine/ drive train mods to my new 2022 are: 1. Nitro 5:29 gears 2. TRD cold air intake w/ rerouted intake from right wheel well to forward near radiator 3. Cut muffler off and welded straight exhaust just aft of cab thru right fiberglass fender 4. A performance chip.

vehicle has less than 500 miles… prerunner mods finished in < 30 days… After shake down runs, I’m considering the supercharger upgrade before taking to Baja.

Dynocomp is out there somewhere, pretty sure they do Magnuson installs.

I believe Magnuson honors the warranty on their kit as long as the install was done by an ASE certified shop.
