Yep. One of the better tires I've ever had.

Only really complaint is they like to throw rocks. And they are soft. So don't expect a lot of miles out of them.

Great otherwise. Decent snow tire too.

    Is GMRS the new HAM?

    No complaints yet.

GMRS seems like the new CB rather than HAM.

More like a cb replacement. You dont need as strict of a license to operate. Much easier to get it than a ham license although a ham is pretty easy to get. But you do still technically need a license to operate.

But ham like performance since it's uhf

Yea same, but my CB setup sucked and GMRS was 1000% easier to setup. Added bonus you can use tiny antennas.

Yeah I'm really struggling on where to mount a ghost now. My front end is symmetrical now and I don't want that to change.

[IMG]IMG_5513 by Michael Halat, on Flickr

Well maybe the dorkel throws off the symmetry a bit.

Buddy of mine with a GrandJeep used the nmo hood mount (tightens with set screws aka no drill), mounted it dead center and because its a stubby it doesnt hit the windshield when the hood is up. Plus has a good ground plane/reflection area. Be perfect for your Symmetry grasshopper :annoyed: <---why is there no Yoda one of these?

You could mount it to the back of the bed like I did under your cover. Jeep guys mount them under their soft tops to the cage I guess and the fabric doesn't affect the transmission. Keep that symmetry!

It'll affect it. But for a cb replacement you'd just not get 20 miles of line of site anymore. More like less than 10.

The roof is the best place to mount uhf/vhf antennas. Lots of soft whips that are around 1'ish so trees aren't an issue.
