Gotcha. I’m just going to put the stock tank back in. Too much trouble with little reward at this point. If I get bored I’ll try resealing the cell and see how it does.

It has been seen many times on this site & in this thread over the years, there is a reason why nobody else makes an LCA out of tube. Same thing every time the tube adjacent to the bump fatigues and snaps.

what where they doing when this happened? What was their purpose for the truck? The oem arms are thinner material than the tube on these. They are boxed on the inside and gusseted inside. Every single person i asked that ran kits like this has had nothing but good things to say so i really not sure what your talking about. Im not desert racing the truck or driving in boulder fields that require 37-40 inch tires, so this should be plenty strong for what i do. Im happy so that's all that really matters. Please link to where you saw this id love to see that.

Have you actually cycled it with the bump stop spacer like that? This setup is likely getting less travel than stock and only having 2.5” of up travel sounds like it will ride horrendous.

Im sure the motion ratios and what not of LT are making it seem “smoother” right around ride height but that spacer is just nuts. Biggest bump spacer I’ve seen for LT application has been around 1” due to not wanting to rub and not wanting to do the appropriate trimming with larger tires

I mean I’m out of whiskey tonight so this isn’t like my usual shit talking. (Not actually trying to shit talk, just help)

I’m no expert clearly as I can’t seem to keep from breaking and working on my truck.

What frame of reference are you coming from? I see your located in AZ so I would assume your truck is setup for high speed Offroad stuff. I’m in AL and we don’t have that type of stuff here.

Now yes I’ve cycled with the bump spacer like that. It’s setup to where the bump started lifting the truck off the stand at about 5/16 of an inch from the uniball cup reaching full bind on spindle. In real world use it’s going to compress even more because it was still compressing as it was jacking off the stand. In reality it’s about 3-3.25 to full flat.

    CD1D0400-666B-4AE4-9D34-F66648F157BF.jpg
The arms cup isn’t the best design but I could easily fix it and gain another inch of up travel.
like I said I’ve got about anouther 1.25 niches I could have potentially.

My strap is strapped about 5/16 of an inch as well from from shock bottoming out to account for the strap stretching. Cv could allow for a little more I think. Same with my tie rods. Right now I’m just over 10 inches with about like I said room for about another inch and a half. I’m not too concerned with full travel numbers like most in here I was just hoping to increase my travel and I accomplished that. Not trying to win a contest of who can get the most travel.

something else to consider would be this kit has no raised bump pad so the contact with the LCA would be later.

I don’t know as much as a lot of guys in this thread, but I would throw that kit as far away from my truck as possible.

Asking in here because you guys are some smart fellas, but my search skills are lacking right now apparently. I want to buy a female cap for the end of a brake line and the only thing I can find is in the UK. I want to be able to cap off the hard brake line on the rear axle during rear-end work, but it would also be nice to be able to cap the line in a pinch on the trail (think the rear cylinder fails or something).

edit: I found these, I reached out to them to have a dealer contact me because there's no other way to buy them.

Couldn't just throw a valve in line where the brake lines run up the driver's side of the frame? I know little about hydraulics/brakes other than, fluid pressure = brake pressure and air bubbles = bad.

Funny enough that thought had crossed my mind last night but that's not something I'm interested in pursuing.

Can you give me a reason why lol? I have yet to have someone show me where a kit like this has failed and the only things i can find going back to the days of it just being tube are ppl saying that they abused it and it never broke. Not the most fancy but it works for me. Idk why i cant just answer a question of another member without a bunch of sharks jumping on me. Man its not yalls truck so don't worry about it. I just cant get over the fact that no one can show proof that this kit is bad and they always just say things lik junk or throw it away lol. Yall are hilarious. I gave my explanation as to why kit works for me and again most everyone in here is trying to insert their own truck and goals into my own build. Its so funny to me.

Seems to be same ppl over the years as well that just say same things over and over again with no proof or evidence to show for it. Seems like all the members who say those things are doing things to their trucks that require overbuilt kits, obviously this kit is not going to work for them. Guess everyone has to run the same kit and not be any different lol.

My truck is set up very dual purpose. Yea it excels in desert stuff, but I live in the mountains and most of my buddies run well set up Jeeps on tons and 40’s so I see a lot of rock crawling as well.

A lot less judgement on your decisions after seeing that picture though. You definitely don’t want the uniball binding with the spindle. But like you said, it’s not the best design. Change the uniball cup angle and you could gain some significant up travel.

Droop is more important in the rocks for sure, but with no uptravel you will be constantly bottoming out on every little bump or g out when not crawling.

And wasn’t asking for travel numbers to say you need more, but was trying to see where you sit in the stroke of things. Most desert people shoot for around 60/40 percent up/down travel, and rock crawlers the opposite at 40/60. And dual sport trucks somewhere inbetween. You are on the “extreme” side being somewhere around 30/70 up/down travel which is why I made my comment about ride quality.

Thank you for explain your situation now i have a better understanding of where your coming from. But yea im going to test it out this weekend on the trail. Nothing crazy just going to flex it out. Ive flexed it out in driveway and on some dirt in the neighbor hood but everything is different when you get on trail.

Once i get back from testing it out this weekend il see what needs to be adjusted and go from there. If i hadn't been so aggressive then the upper uni def would have been binding. The droop is pretty good for what its worth. Again let i said this truck is meant (for the time being) dual purpose blue trails at parks and camping what not with friends and family. It wont see extreme situations like most of you guys see hence why i didnt get an overbuilt kit. Once i get a second off road vehicle that might change but for now im happy with my decision. FYI this isn't the stock kit (its been modified) Gusseted in key areas and all unis changed to FK and bushings to DK ones. For the price it could not be beat that i got it for.

Not trying to argue just wanted to explain my decisions and just wish ppl could act with manners on internet instead of just trowing out rude commits without any explanation or evidence to back it up. Not saying that was you...

I’ve got wilwood discs on the rear now so I feel as if this is a required upgrade. That’s what I told myself.
