I was just assuming it's like you say. They're referring to N and S on the inside of the curved surface. The outer curve would be the opposite pole as the inside surface.

Understood. I can have this fly off in about 15 minutes. I'll do some research to see if I can find what bonding agent they use. I wouldn't want it to let go again.

Yeah, also doesn't help that they drive the front tires of the loaders into that metal support. And bark piles up against it then they drive on top of that. It lasted 25 years at least....

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Maybe time to just build new rather then trying to straighten and brace that mess.

I can hear the bean counters complain down here.

I’ve got the stuff in the stick. You cut off how much you need & knead it to activate but you gotta work fast.

Interesting, sure makes getting the portion sizes easy since they're individual packs. I'll do some further reading. A bunch of lawn mower forums say to get the stuff that sets slower because it dries harder and holds stronger. I don't know if that's anecdotal or if there's any legitimacy to that statement.

I've used similar with good success, but I don't think this is the application for the putty type. Needs to be a razor thin coat on the magnet and flywheel as there's no room for interferance.

I see what you’re after. Yeah, the stick stuff’s no good for that application. I trust loctite, 3M, Hilti even. All of ‘em got the right product per application. Even looks nice on the shelf so when you need it next & find out it’s dried rock solid, you can take the nice container to the parts store for a refill.

Part is done in QC, so here's some in progress and finished photos. I hit the .001" flatness on this one as well so neither of the parts need grind. Bossman was happy about that. Now we can start assembly. Taking my time pulling in models and setting up paid off. .050" clearance. Flatness, True Po's, some Diamond locating features and a few different pressfit bores. One and done.

Just got a call from the Toyota dealership. The fuel sending unit they just replaced didn't fix the gas gauge problem we're having. Now they're ordering a new gauge cluster...

Just looked up prices. The fuel sending unit is $65.

    The gauge cluster is $815.

Our boat has a gas gauge issue. They replaced the sending unit/float. Its a little better but still not great. The guy at counter tried telling me it was because the waves causing it to read wrong. I said look man dont give me that. I know how float works, the gauge doesnt read the right level!
