It's a few miles away and for the most part traveling up the mountain and not down. The weather forecast is up in the air today. It's supposed to be mid 90s today with a chance of freak wind and thunderstorms today and tomorrow so we can probably toss a coin on this getting put out or having another lightning strike later

 

I was wondering how close this was for you… hopefully a storm comes to put it out

That’s what it was like here ‘bout a year ago Midday. Northern fires are usually peat bogs. Nasty smell & bein’ way up there, gotta say I was dying. Almost broke out the Scott Pack ffs.

 

We've seen it strike before in the same area and haven't seen it travels downward before. For what it's worth, we're around 3000ft elevation and the fire is up at 7000ft and that's just a baby peak. It's only a few hundred acres and hasn't really gone outside of containment.

Yes, backyard is more weeds than grass 'cuz shadow of house and it's really the dogs' yard.

Wet grass mowing is awful, done it only when I had too. Looks awful and sticks all up under the mower deck.
