Unbolted the motor mounts & tipped it? Which direction? Did they have to separate the transmission from the motor for easier access? Sorry but I don't have a 3rd gen so I can't see the part itself.

So close to buying a 2022 MT OR. Then I see this coolant pipe issue. I want this truck so bad though…

If you geniuses find a workaround for this, I’m in to buy.

The sale is not solidified yet. Still waiting for the dealer to get their ducks in a row.

We have only seen this sort of rarely on earlier 3rd Gens. Don't let this issue hold you back. There are no issues on the 3rd Gen that happened in significant numbers that wasn't already taken care of with a TSB, Recall, or easy mods.

Yea, seriously. It's 2022; there are so many high mileage 3rd Gen tacomas out there. Every issue is documented because of the ubiquity of the platform.

If you need a midsize truck, just do it.

It happened to me and I'd still buy another one without hesitation. Fingers crossed on the replacement they put in my truck!!

Those dealers won't let you buy them without a vin# that I don't have. I call one of them to day and from the man's mouth if I don't have a vin# for that model of car I can't buy it. I call BS I'm paying money for it correct.

Toyota has been requiring vin #s more frequently in recent years... how soon do you need it? Can probably get one direct from Japan.

I already bought the plastic junk and going to be putting it on this weekend. Thanks. I figured you had a place to get it . That is why I asked . I'll just figure it out in the next the 30,000 when this one goes bad.

And by the way why don't you just remove the two pipe nipples and thread the hols for pipe fittings. The top you can go small and pipe plug it and the back go brass 90 with 5/8 barbed nipple . Simple and easy . The you can just move the stock hose over and down to that fitting.
