    I haven’t tried an add smart key function yet, but as far as other customizable settings I’ve been able to use the older version of techstream and manually input the vehicles as a 2020. I’ve used it on 21 & 22 Tacomas.

    So I have the 2 day subscription to tech stream and using a tactrix dongle. Everything worked as described leading up to adding the key card, but the only issue at the end was the card was already registered to another vehicle. This is a show stopper. Anyone know of a way to make it a virgin card again?

    The response time was super fast. I’m pretty sure they received it and shipped it the same day. I was able to program it for a friend’s truck with no issues.

    After getting the key re-virginized with a service out of PA I successfully programmed my key card yesterday on my 21 trd off road.

    Doing this mod has ruined carrying a normal set of car keys for me. I’d be devastated to have use a normal fob again

    No go on my 2021 sport. ECU matches, but my FOB does not have the AG letters, just G. Anyway, it will not recognize the new from dealer Lexus key card. I am going to try to switch out the battery to see if that makes any difference. Everything is the same as OP with the exception of my FOB. Not sure if I am doing something wrong, but I go through the process in techstream and cannot get a beep when I get to the step of registering the key card. Bummer

    What version of Techstream are you using? When you try to register a new key fob, do it make you go through the process to get a pin code?

    I am on Ver 16.20.023. I can get as far as the step to hold the new key you are trying to register up to the start button, but the truck never beeps or recognizes the Lexus key card, and the process times out.

    Hi guys. 4Runner guy here. Thanks for this marvelous thread, thanks to the OP Victory, and all those that contributed. I read all 37 pages so no real questions on this as you all answered the same ones repeatedly for people! Victory addressed another 4Runner owners question and said maybe a different part number. Another 4Runner owner said on the 4R forums that the part you all are running works! I am excited to give this a shot. I don't see the numbers listed on the ebay listings anymore but its worth taking a gamble anyway. Worst case its wrong and I return it. I plan on paying the small premium to get it from ebay for that convenience.

    I also can't confirm my ecu number as I have no clue where that is but if its worked for all of you, why wouldn't it work for me on a 2020 4R Pro?

    If anyone in the Bergen County NJ area knows of a good locksmith please let me know. I plan on calling a hundred places until I find one who isn't looking for a mortgage payment in return.
