It’s an 05 but it’s motor swapped on solid mounts so that’s not an issue. Was possibly thinking a hole saw slightly larger than the size of the bungs. I can see it’s welded on the top sides but doesn’t seem to be on the exterior of the lower side, are they welded internally on the lower side?

Know of anyone running Wilwood brakes with a Solo XLT kit? Trying to figure out how to run the rotors with the Dana 44 hubs since the mounting is different than factory and bolts in with the wheel studs and if the center of the rotor would be the same or to far in or out.

Turns out when you ditch 400lbs to a well tuned truck, it rides like shit

Just backing up my statements from last night where I said I was not an expert. I just couldn’t wait to finish the truck before driving it.

Question is, is the pack too heavy or your tune too stiff now?

Yes and no. Ride height is pretty perfect actually, could be a touch lower with the addition of the spare tire. Some decent tuning available with the bypass to lighten it up some. If that doesn’t work then there is also the option of revalving/drilling free bleeds in the piston. Gonna be some trial and error and should have it dialed back in soon enough. Also waiting to hear from ads for my 3.0x5 tube sponsorship since their shocks do flow more than the others

Word. Sounds about right as far as these never ending projects go. But at leasts it’s tunable. That would be awesome if ADS pulls through. I removed a similar amount of weight but I’m still SOA and on expo springs. Total dumpster fire even with the compression tubes opened up.
Uniballs, geometry, travel, bump stops, you spelled out all the evidence of that kit being a hot mess in your post. So it seems you know what your issues are already.

I personally wouldn’t mess with that kit. Since it looks like it’s going to need an overhaul to the same scale as getting a new kit. If you have time to kill screwing with it, that’s your prerogative. Don’t be astounded with someone else’s opinion.

Yeah what Chris said, it’s only welded on top. I believe I’ve seen someone cut the top of the bungs flush with the frame with a sawzall and then ground the rest down and was able to pop them out that way. Either they actually did it or just brainstormed the idea, idk. But I like the hole saw idea too.

I’m doubtful but like to harass my buddy over there. Maybe one day he’ll just send me shocks but for now he does help me out with pricing a good bit. Just not in the budget for now so we’ll see how tuning goes first

shoulda gone 4 link....lol. Honestly i will say as far as my retarted brain goes i've ran two different trips this year with the 4 link and the 1st one i ran without the spares since i didn't have the right top springs, and it was like night and day different from sua. than i just did coos bay this last weekend with new 300lb top springs and had the spares in and i honestly dont know how much of a difference it all really made. i just know now i have a much better ride height with the spares and heavier springs and less preload.

Yea i changed out stuff but again was still about 2k under anything else after it was all said and done and i think i have exactly what i was looking for now. Personally im the type of person who likes to set things up myself instead of buying something off the shelf ready to go alot of times. Just my personality. Helps me understand how things work and get a good grasp on what im working with. I understand most would be hesitant towards that. I was more so addressing the fact that ppl who clearly never touched or had the kit saying its broken on ppl when i cant pull but one situation on this site or even in fact the internet saying that had a negative experiance. And it wasn't due to the kit failing it was so more due to the consumables like changing bushings and stuff etc. . I think a lot of ppl just discredit due to face value alone and that's the end of the story. Anyway im tired of talking about it haha. Ill just let my experience with it talk for itself.I bet the real reason most don't run this kit anymore is because there are overbuilt kits that are a better value compared to the allpro kit but when you add in something like the depo kit that with upgrades still can be had for a couple thousand lower it might be a viable option to some.

Here are some quotes from some users in PM( Not gonna disclose them unless the come forward)
    1.
    "
I had no issues with the kit, and it is now on a buddies truck and he is still running it with no issues.

The kit I had was the 1st production kit, and when I got it I already had a Total Chaos kit on order (slow lead from TC at that time), and when my buddy in the red truck and I went to Death Valley there was no performance difference

If I was to start over I would just do the Depo Kit and save the money

If you have any more specific questions I can answer, I’d be more than happy to, but in the way of satisfaction, It’s really a great kit."

    2.
"Been running it for about 2 months now. I love it. It's defiantly no total chaos kit, but the uniball are decent quality as long as you lube them frequently. The kit results in more wheel travel as promised and it looks great"

From this thread in the past
    3
"I will check out Total Chaos kits, All Pro seemed to merit good reviews from people who I have seen use them."

    4
I have the Allpro 2" kit now for a few years. I bet I have more rock crawling abuse on my kit then any other person. Never had any issues with my kit and has served me well so far.

The overall price of the AllPro kit is a few hundreds bucks cheaper then the TC or Camburg Kits. And the extended halfshafts that AllPro offers are the strongest available. Any of the three will work for you since they are all great quality kits.

Im done talking about so ill just let it be and everyone can have their own opnions.
