Pulled my bumpers and took them in to be sandblasted and powder coated satin black - they were starting to get some rust. I should have them back in a couple days.

Also installed new OEM headlights and Philips Racing Vision +200 bulbs.

Bro what are the specs on the tires. They E or C load rated tires?

This is the way the truck should have come from the factory.

Well this isn't exactly WHAT I did to my Tacoma today but what I WAS LOOKING to do... I was perusing the 'ol YouTube for mods and what not and happened upon a video about the first gen Tacomas. Made me kinda reminiscent of my first truck, my first gen, named Shrek. So I thought I'd share with y'all. I know most of you old-heads are a "bit" older than me and remember your glory days of way back when, but for me it was only a few years ago being I'm only 21. Maybe y'all will get a chuckle out of this! I believe the term for the pinstriping is "retro"...

I wonder if there’s a way to add auto windows to pre 12-15.
My 08 is only auto down driver window
Rest of the passenger windows are push and hold

I’m not sure what parts differ when the year hit 12. Like what if they changed the regulators. In that case for a total conversion maybe it requires switch + regulators on the other windows or something

I was just told the wiring is a little different and we would need to repin and get the newer bezel if you have a doublecab. Regular cab and AC have different connectors so a bit more work needed

Indeed! Have no clue how anyone could do this alone. There were a few times I was like "We need a fifth hand in here!" Getting the springs on while holding all the "barely" fitted parts together was... the opposite of fun. Maybe I just need to do it more often so I get better?

It’s only retro if you were born after it was a fad, otherwise it’s just nostalgic. One of those “same thing with different meanings to different people” situations.

To those who have ordered the window switches above:

How long did it take to ship to you? It gives a pretty wide range, I think it said 11 to 65 days or something lol....just curious what I'm realistically looking at.

I'm kind of wondering the same thing. Ordered yesterday morning and got a confirmation email but nothing since that.

Well in that case I guess it’s nostalgic as my truck was an 02 haha!

About to drop a set of fog lights into the boy's 07. Seems pretty easy so i'll sit back and watch the 21 and 18 yr old figure it out while I enjoy a nice cigar listening to country music with the dog.
