Good evening CT. Checked the weather and it looks bearable for the next week. Today was not good.

That hybrid battery replacement I did was a "waiter". That's right, the customer was waiting for the car. Who the hell does that?!

Now that it looks like it is going to cool down a bit, I can start getting my interior and other truck stuff sorted. I'm starting by making a "to-do list" for each section of the truck to better organize my stuff.

I was testing my illumination and I think I may have to add one wire after the whole dash harness rewiring job. The steering wheel controls do not light up and it looks like I'm missing a ground wire from the spiral cable. It's super easy to add and I thought that I needed it but wasn't sure because I thought it grounded out through the radio. I'll do some more testing after work tomorrow. I have the radio out to see what I can do about mounting the GPS antenna, now that I have that part figured out, I can see what's up with the illumination.

Keep in mind.....we used a plug in one for Harold's LCA. Battery ones are good but even the best Milwaukees run out if juice.

Good morning CT. Happy hump day!
First night in a couple that I slept without the fan on.

Started my to do lists last night. I'll add to them so I can have a better idea on what needs to be done and parts that I need to buy.

I checked the wiring diagrams for lighting up the steering wheel controls. One shows a wire going to the radio for the ground and another shows a separate wire going straight to ground.

Looks like the illumination ground wire from the spiral cable goes directly to ground if you have navigation, it goes to the radio if you don't have navigation.

I have three illumination wiring diagrams so it was confusing.

    @HAVOC

At next mod day at Jared's I'd appreciate your help hard wiring a dash cam into my car. I've got forum instructions (with pics) to use connector plug taps for power and ground in overhead at mirror. Need you to verify my work and test for power before I button it back up.

Thats awesome of you to offer. I may take you up on the corded option. Ill send you a pm when I know when install day is.

Ill likely be doing it at my house- early September depending on when the lcas arrive. Anyone is welcome to also come by and work on any truck stuff they have to take care of. Probably have room on my driveway for 4-5 trucks and plenty of parking on the grass.

Maybe we can plan for the September Mod day to Be over Mike's... ( @MikefromCT ), That is also depending on if Mrs. MikefromCT wants all of us there as well lol. Until his LCA's come in, that can be up in the air. We should still get on planned soon in the upcoming Mod thread for either the 20-21st of August or the 27-28th of August depending on what Mods everyone needs to complete. I always have a bunch that needs to be done including work on my off road trailer. Any thoughts?

Doing a head gasket on a 2012 CT200h. Head is back from the machine shop so I’m putting it back together and can’t find the timing cover. A coworker threw it out with the trash.

Making a short section of wire so my steering wheel controls will light up. While digging out the wire and tools I found the box of nitrile gloves I was looking for.

    Good Morning CT!
Happy Friday Eve. Headed to a brewery tonight in North Haven for a birthday get together.

Filling up my to-do lists with a bunch of stuff I want/need to do. I should've done this sooner for better organization and to finish one mod/repair before beginning another.
