Yes, It was on/off for awhile. The heavy part of the storm only lasted 1/2 to 1 hour then it was light.

It was much needed. The temps are back to normal, for now.

Pex bent for winter row covers for those few nights below freezing, and to help heat up during the cold days. Which is about 60 days a year here max.
You got the right idea but PVC is actually a little more brittle in my experiences for row covers.
    Lettuce, very tasty lettuce.
:oldglory: Some Clark Griswold stuff right there.

That is our porch bunny, a semi domestic rabbit that has free range and plays with the neighborhood stray cats. We released it into the back yard when it started scratching out all its fur because it was stressed inside its cage we presume. We can still pet it and occasionally hold it. Bun-bun-easter-tu-tu-evelyn-sparkle-heart <-- the name from my 4 year old. I'll post some more pictures I have of the rabbit with the kids on the porch.

I thought it was more for a make shift green house. I seen some with clear/opaque plastic over the PVC.

My father went overboard with the Christmas light every year for us kids. We even got ask for the house to be in a magazine. My father declined for privacy reason.

I have a couple of strays rabbits. I used to feed them bread. Now when the rabbits see me they come running to me and doesn't leave my side. I just can't touch out of their reaction of being nervous. They are definite trainable.

For the most part we just cut back to the surface on all our plants, helps keep the soil Eco-structure going, per my wife. I also didn't know lettuces could grow back but it appears we have two plants that are growing from last winters roots/stems. We will have to add some fencing this year to a few winter beds so the rabbit doesn't get first dibs on the fresh greens.FD753A7C-39F2-46F7-B298-E948E92B5F28.jpg 64F628ED-E74B-4280-8BDD-4034C3516B70.jpg

Chickens. My main issue with chickens is that no matter what I do with their feed its a hassle and the rats eventually come and its a ebb and flow thing with how many are there. In the past two months I have been either on vacation or traveling for work and the rats have come back now its like 3-6 rats every night so we are taking the feed in every night now. This is the least waste chicken feeder I have found to work for our 5 hens. I can take it in and out very easily. I guess I will be out with the pellet gun again for a few nights. :infantry:

Big rabbit, My strays are small. There's plenty of gardens to feed on so food isn't an issue. Must be the breed.

Can you put the chicken feeder higher? Out of reach from the rats but low enough for the chickens.

The leaves are huge. My neighbor plant had 1 1/2 to 2 ft leaves. The wife told me that the Rhubarb has to be cook a certain way or it taste nasty. I think she says it tasted bitter.

Side note. The power keeps going off for some reason. The city is to cheap to replace anything.

Its sour, you can eat the stalk raw but dont eat a lot or you be needing to be near toilet...most people mix it with sugar and make jam or pie. Mix it with strawberry also. Im pretty sure the leaves are toxic

Yes, leaves are toxic. When she told me this I was like, why eat it then. Her husband loves Rhubarb. She makes mostly pies but sometimes jam. She uses a lot of sugar. I forgot how much per oz of Rhubarb. I'm not sure if she mix Strawberries with the Rhubarb.

What does the fingerling potato plant look like full grown?

How many potatoes can you get per plant, on average?

Seem smaller than my Yukon gold plants.

Lots. Small potatoes tasty and perfect. Nice size around, 25 or more. Kinda easy, started with 6 taters from the farmer's market now I am swimming in good spuds

The picture you posted of the fingerling potatoes is that just one plant?

Never seen those potatoes before. My neighbor planted regular potatoes, red, and the dark one. Not sure if they were black.
