    Im looking at a 3 inch pro comp lift kit and want to know if there would be any problems associated with the shorter lift kits. When i say shorter i mean lifts that use blocks and front spacers on the standard shocks instead of new coil-overs? Would i have problems with the CV or ball joints if i don't have somthing done like a front dif drop? \

    Thanks!

    edit:
    TheKit that I am looking at is the the shock and spring kit in comparison to the spacer lift kit. To see if the shock an spring kit is as potentially damaging to the truck has the spacer lift kit

    I've gotten sore tired of typing up the negatives of spacer lifts that now I just quote this from the Camburg website.:

    Also diff drops have shown to have almost no impact on CV angles of 2nd gens.

    :confused: Your OP asked about spacer lifts....

    I wouldn't recommend the procomp shock/spring kit, but there are plenty of people on here who have it. It's been noted to be a pretty harsh ride.

    Good call I should have made it clear that I meant the shock and spring kit.

    Hey thats a good price. I wonder how this front setup is compared to 5100's/OME springs?

    The shocks are of poorer quality. ProComps shocks are twin-tube while Bilstein and OME are monotube.

    Bilstein=much better shock.

    However, if used with stock coils, you are preloading the coil, depending upon which level of lift you choose, so that can make the ride harsh.

    I have 5100s at 1.75, with stock coils, and I am happy. I had OME coils with 5100s at stock height, and found the OMEs to be much more firm.

    What I am wondering is whether or not that rear add-a-leaf in the ProComp kit is with or without rear tsb?
