I'd check with Star Boys just off the freeway at 123rd S, they know their Tacos. Or maybe State Auto.

Finally got my hands on a set of these trd faux beadlock wheels after looking for a long time. Next is to get some 285’s to slap on them, I just couldn’t resist putting them on in the meantime, really love the look.

YES! Those look great on your truck. Best looking OEM wheel right there. Where'd you find them?

A guy up in Layton had them on his truck when he bought them and got some new wheels. We had a mutual friend and we got talking about wheels and I said how i'd been looking for these wheels for a while and he got me in touch with his buddy and I got them from him.

Does anybody know how to find where the Skyline Drive starts west of Helper?

Is there a sign or mile marker?

I didn't think it was east of helper. I know of a couple ways to get to it, all of which are west of helper.

You can get to it off of Hwy 6 near Tucker a couple of miles past the tie fork rest area. Its forest road 150.

If you follow it from hwy 6, you will eventually need to continue it off of hwy 31.
    upload_2022-8-10_8-41-25.jpg

You can then follow skyline to I-70 offroad. There are many trails to get back down to Emery and Ferron if you don't go to I-70. Not sure the routes, but the mountain is littered with them.

Crap... I said east but it's west. Thanks for catching that.

I was planning to do the entire drive to I-70 today but the forecast is for a week of rain and I know there are some dicey places with steep drop-offs. I think I'll wait for dry weather.

When I last did it, it ranged from easy to some tricky mud/ snow spots. It was just myself and the doggos, so I was careful on wheel placement. From my pictures, it was back in 2018. If you have traction boards/ recovery gear, bring it all.

I wanted to camp at blue lake, I made dinner and setup my tent, but a fire in the distance made me pack up camp and find a different spot for the night. I didn't want to get trapped if the fire changed direction.

I appreciate the offer but like guessing... lol

I've done the drive south of Manti and other than the wet/mud next to drop-offs I doubt I'd have any problems... at least if the north end is similar to the south.

Pretty country. I need to get back up there.

Yeah, thats a dicey spot for a ladder on your place. Just dont fall backwards and hit the fence, or go over it and drop the 60 ft to your backyard neighbors
