    Stock-ish
Just stock lowers and 2.5 Fox's. Can't seem to get more than 5-10k out of the lower uniballs on the shocks, last set lasted 5k but I am fairly hard on stuff

Just for the record, I'm running Camburgs UCAs, 6112 w/700 lb springs set at the top notch, 285-75-16 tires (33") and no cab mount chop.

Also running normal alignment, not 3* camber, and my tires to do not rub.

I’ll assume you’re on stock wheels?

    Sorry -

FJ Trail Teams wheels. IIFRC, an inch less backspacing than Tacoma wheels.

How about trimming plastic out of the front bumper area?

No, I did not do any trimming.

I currently have a bumper, so that is not an issue. But, look at my avatar pic - that was after lift, before bumper.

Nice. OEM wheels work some magic sometimes with bigger tires thanks to tucking them into the wheel wells further.

    True.

Sometimes, I wish the aftermarket would mimic some of the "better" factory offsets.

Did you do this? This is what I was thinking but was persuaded against earlier. How is this gonna compare to max setting and 600#?

Great service from Colton per usual! Very pleased with the assembly of 6112/650# springs.

I’m currently running 255/85 r16 so I’m not worried about tire fitiment. I like the look and performance of the tall skinnies so far but you never know, after lift I may decide I need 285’s! Sounds like I’ll bite the bullet and just get some UCA’s. And yeah gonna do the needle bearing replacement as well. Thanks again!

I wouldn’t say they are the same. Not sure about the 6112, but the regular shocks are different between Tacoma and 4Runner. The 4Runner has a ticker bushing on the bottom where it goes into the lower control arm.
And the stock 4Runner shocks are shorter then Tacoma. So the 6112 can be the same.

that’s why the new 6112 that come with 15 adjustments or whatever….for 4 runners, it’s on the lower perches and the Tacoma is higher.
Sorry if I don’t make sense. Took too much pre workout

I did not. I have added weight:
    • 150# rock sliders
    • 40# Prinsu rack
    • Topper Shell and other items in bed for another 250#
My understanding is if you had no weight and did top 11/9 or 6/5 settings you will get 2" with 600# springs and 2.5" with 650#.

I did 10/8 and 650# springs and got a little over 1.5" from stock. Personally I think Bilstein under estimates the impact of extra weight on the 6112s. By contrast I think Icon over estimates impact of weight on the various leaf pack options.

How hard is the assembly if I don’t get them pre assembled? It’s only $100 difference, but if it’s super easy I’ll likely save the cash. I seem to recall being able to do it as you are installing and not use a spring compressor, but I can’t find that anywhere.
