Watching my video of it and talking to Pete, I think the line choice was good - but clutch control and some more speed would’ve prevented it for sure.

I'd 1000% rather have an Africa Twin than another KTM. Big orange was really starting to annoy me on a lot of fronts about the time I went to my Triumph.

Although between Itchyboots and @gixxerphil, the urge to pick up a 300 Rally and make it a Utah exploration machine is high.

The Rally is a great little bike. It's good at most things, just not great. The stock suspension is too soft and although it'll run 75.......it's just not happy above 65 to be honest.....at least to me. I knew exactly what this bike was and it hasn't disappointed me. I think for the folks that complain about it are expecting the performance, mile eating ability of bigger bikes.

Haha. Yup. Taking breaks is key but as many experienced people here have also said, setting up the bike for comfort is ideal for long rides. Seat, reach, grips and pegs make a difference on those long hauls.

The Rally is great. I love it and everyone I’ve rented it to has loved it. Lightweight, simple, tractors up just about anything within reason. Fast enough for state highways and such, 70-80mpg.

If you're ripping highway miles to get there, I-90 is SO friggin boring too. Bring audiobooks or something to keep your mind going or something.

Yeah, the mountain west interstate would be about the only place it wouldn't do so well, but I guess that's an excuse to take the (slower) scenic route. I know my 390 Duke was struggling in a similar fashion.

Definitely agree with you on all of the above.

Pic from last weekend. Also had an 'oh sh!t' moment on my home from this pic. Once I comb thru my gopro I'll post it up.

For what this bike is, and meant to be, I have no complaints.

    Awesome view

That’s the same display as a Honda Grom. Wonder if it would work on mine.

I believe so. I watched a CBR250 swap on a grom and he used the dash from the CBR.......if memory serves........now I may be completely making that shit up in my head, so take it with a grain of salt

Also, if you're not opposed to knockoffs, check ali express. I want to say I saw a dash bracket there.
