Yeh yesterday where the real feel shade was hotter than the actual temperature was bananas.

 

ROAST! ROAST!! ROAST!!!!!!

 

Monday we went to a funeral in a suburb of Portland. It was supposed to be in the mid 80s, but was closer to the high 90s. Mass was in a church and they don't air condition the main chapel. Man was it hot. I'm not really complaining, but the combination of heat, humidity, and no air moving made for a sweaty couple of hours. Plus I was wearing a suit. I can only imagine how hot he Priest was.

 

Not to be blunt but usually thats an old people gathering too. Yeesh. You can't stuff 75 geriatrics in a hot box and hope for the best.

 

God i keep forgetting im older than you always think we're the same age hahaha

There was a mix since it was a young woman well known in the parish. No one suffered any ill effects.

 

Jokes aside - sorry to hear about that.

 

So a neighbor gave us a jeep ride on fire free, not my first choice but it was free lol. The daughter already has a pink mercedes. Plugged it in finally toast knowing the battery had probably had gone bad..... yup it had. But I wanted to make sure this thing still worked. Snipped the wires and plugged it into a dewalt battery and it was racing around the yard lol. Wish I fit in it lol

 

2010 here. Girlfriend was 2009. Last year I enjoyed being able to regularly remind her that I was still in my 20s and she wasn't.

 

My advice, tread lightly with that one going forward.

When I turned 30 I was saying I felt old. My girlfriend (now wife) put her finger in my face and said "so if 30 is old you must think I'm fucking ancient huh!" She was 42 at that time..

 

Thanks. I didn't know her very well, but I've known her father for close to 30 years and her mother a bit less. Great people and this is just devastating.

 

I am almost 30 and my joke is that I'll be in my late 20s until about 45. Technically 37 is just a very late 20s.

I'm class of 2012. I'm 28, feel like I'm going on 65. I have the beginnings of what I believe to be rheumatoid arthritis. Yay

My fiancée is 3 years younger than me, and we're already shopping for retirement homes for me... I get reminded of my age almost daily

 

Aren’t you pretty close? Like within a couple years? Yeah sure 16 vs. 20 is a big difference but 29 vs 33 is not much.

“Walk away” bro you are younger than me. I just didn’t get into the troks until later on, had a jeep but chucked that POS a while back, had a mazda for a buncha years. Really wish I kept that thing instead of trading it in.

That's what constantly reminds me I am getting older. Granted I'm *only* 35 - but there are a few trail networks that require a dose of ibuprofen at bed time from soreness. Strange how mentally I am still a late teen ready to tear it up and party, then my body decides to remind me every now and again that no, I am not.
