Anyone have any window vent visors installed on their trucks? I bought some a little while ago that install inside the window sill but when I raise the windows all the way up, it just don't sound right with the extra plastic against the rubber seal. Almost sounds like its stretching something out. I'm worried that the window won't have a good seal as time goes on or if I want to remove the visors. I just want some input from Tacoma owners that have window visors. Thanks!!! :D

Like the look. The crunchy sound is from dirt and dust in the chanel. Worst thing I hate is drivers side sometimes rattles when window down on bumpy roads...

Other then that willing to replace if needed. Great product. beats sticking stuff on the outside.. IMO

Sorry, missed reading your entire post: How long you had them? That abrupt sound will, or should go away once they break in...

LOL... I hear it all the time during the summer. So much dust in NC. Not bad during winter. But you cant beat the inline look. It is the only way to go.

Well I just got mine a couple days ago. The sound its making really isn't from dirt and debris though. You can even kind of see that its expanding the rubber seal on the window. I mean its not horrible but it just seems like it might be an issue down the road or if I remove them.

I have the EGR in-channel. One thing I did before they installed them (deal) I took a wet rag and used a piece of polly and rubbed the inside of the channel.
Kept the window down a little to dry, then they installed. No sounds at all when the window seals shut.
I do get a wind noise from the back drivers side, but need someone to sit in that area to find out.

I did the same as above poster...No noise at all...

The back drivers side did pop loose a little...I planned to keep them in there so i just used a little glue and glued it back in...no problems at all...

Yeah I have them. At first when I installed them they made a rubbing sound, but now they are good. Needs to break in a bit.;)

Well thats what I'm wondering about the break-in process. I'm just wondering if its stretching something out to where down the road if I want to remove them, that the break-in process would leave a permanent gap and the windows wouldnt seal completely from the extra plastic that was in there before. Dang does that make sense?

I've got the in channel visors. The windows seem to work fine, but I may remove them. I haven't decided yet. The problem I have is at drive thrus and ATM's the top of my head hits the visors if I lean out. Since I have no hair to speak of, it kinda hurts. Still like the look, but a few more scrapes and they're coming out.

Received the EGR in-channel 2 months ago as a gift. They are wonderful. None of the above problems. In fact the cab is quieter with the widows up, and there is much less noise with the windows just barely cracked open. No window opertion issues either.

I'm not even sure what brand I got. Got them off of ebay for like $30.

Okay, finally said screw it and installed them last night. Drove about 275 miles today with about 240 of that on the highway at about 75-80 mph. No noise at all from the windows or visors!!! Visors work great! Looks slick too!!!:)

Yes the in-channels look the best IMO. The sound will go away. I have them & it made that noise for about a month.
