Saw the guy who tuned my truck today he straightened me right out. Now with the AC on the alternator is putting out 14.2V and with it off it’s bouncing between 14.3-14.4. Never going higher than 14.4. Knowing that odyssey says voltages between 14.4-14.8 are ideal I feel much better knowing I’m on the lower end of the spectrum. Thanks again to the people above me who provided assistance.

Does anyone here have any experience with 04C21?
Recently purchased a vf tuner and my main goal is to adjust for a future AGM.
All or most of my fields and values are not matching others I see on this thread

planning to flash my truck to the latest values posted by @BortisYeltzen this week, im curious, did you also up the duty cycles +20 past cycle 1 as @Shellshock suggested in a previous post, or did you leave those values alone?

looking for comments from anyone on what to do with duty cycles but pretty confident in the data provided by @BortisYeltzen for the ECTs

Leave the other values alone. Just change the one table. Keep it simple. I backed off slightly on the settings and what is shown below should give 14.3V consistently. No need for more than that.

I know this thread is a bit dead and forgive me if this has been answered here/some where (fee free to point me there).

Looking at getting the AGM tune for my Tacoma with an odyssey Agm however I’m curious if it’s better to have my battery always charged around 14.4v or leave it at the stock 13.8v profile for float and let my 24/7 solar charge the battery at 14.4v when needed.

    Thanks

After I added my solar panel, I went back to the stock charging profile and just let the solar panel do the work.

Thanks gentlemen! @Shellshock Have you had any issues with SOC? Got a renogy charge controller at the moment with my renogy 175w panel but probably worth upgrading the controller to something a little nicer. Any recommendations?

Is this the only values that should be changed? Or are there others as dependent cited in the above?

Can anyone give me some guidance on how to get to the correct area on my VF Tuner 1.7 Legacy version to change the values in order to have my alternator setup for an AGM battery? I've been looking around this thread for about a week, and I see some figures to enter, but I don't see where to go in order to change the values. I see the list under the OBD logger, but am just not sure what to choose and what not.

About 2 years ago, I did the OV Premium fuel tune on my truck. That was preset and had all the instructions. Changing the alternator figures seems a little bit more involved without any good videos or step by step instructions. Thanks in advance!

You have 2 alternator tabs in the 3rd Gen Tacoma file. The 1st tab has that table in it.
