sorry if a repost. Without injectors to test it's hard to know for sure but I'm thinking this was the result of a leaking manifold gasket and was where disappearing coolant was going.

My boss let me kill a 3.0 3vz toyota truck once. But made me drain the oil so it wouldn't catch fire or blow oil on the floor.

It took 12 mins of red line and it eventually seized.

The few 5VZ's I've seen die are always due to oil starvation.

Could it have been caused by a stuck injector like he mentioned in the video? I’d never heard of that happening before.

Kristi couple days ago opened the radiator cap and then the no.3 spark tube flooded.....
I would keep an eagle eye on the intake gaskets, and water level.....
but I've seen a number of these recently getting hair cracks between the valves....
and a leak down test is sometimes not stressful enough to trigger the leak.......
    it may need heat expansion....

Those 50k Dino oil changes are a real downer.

That guy likely knows way more about the 5vz than I do. Looks like the cylinder still had ignition. Even with an injector on full tilt, how could enough fluid accumulate to cause a hydro pressure issue? Wouldn't the HG decide to fail before the rod? IDK

I don't think he was thinking that out. The oil would have been full of fuel...wouldn't it?

I guess the pan was already dumped and gas dissipates fairly quick. Seems like a botched autopsy

The fuel pump only runs while engine is running. I dunno, just don't see it.
Sorry for reposting, I looked for it.
The purpose of looking on here is what he said at 4:00 "Right off the bat the intake gaskets don't look so hot"
I worked on a Sienna last year that was losing quite a bit of coolant and thought the same, replaced intake...well, had to to get back together after finding nothing else and the loss stopped. There was a lot of water going down the valves

We'll never know so I'll take the easy way out. The rod bearing suddenly seized for some unknown reason or the owner swamped it.

Yes this is true for obvious safety reasons - a crash for example.

It was a core and he knew of the guy so he knew it wasn't swamped and he made reference to the bearing looking fine except for being folded.
It's going to be an internal leak of fuel or water.
