Not sure why but the parts at the Toyota dealers are now cheaper that the local parts store.
I just purchased new rotors for $104 Each. The the local parts stores were higher by a little and sometimes by a lot.
Regardless, I got a set at the dealer. I suppose that if I gave some time looking on line I could have found the OEM rotors for less but I like to support local businesses. I also got a new gas cap too.

No, they aren’t OEM. But my dealer was way more expensive.

Your lucky... at my dealer the prices are more (some things are close to double) than buying oem online. The serpentine belt... dealer- $75... OEM on line- $45. Same thing for the outer tie-rod links i bought the other day. I got both sides (oem online) for $10 more than the price the dealer wanted for just one.... plus it was free shipping.

My local dealer charges 20% over list price; and of course stocks almost nothing. I can buy OE toyota parts online for 25% under list.

I've regurgitated this same spiel numerous times on TW, but don't mind doing it again for a fellow TW member...

I always recommend going straight through Toyota's parts website at parts.toyota.com. See if you have any local dealers who sell online through there as a lot of them will offer a significant discount (30% or more!). If so, just order online and pick them up locally. If not, just order from any non-local dealer offering a discount and have them shipped (Toyota has been running a free shipping promo all summer for orders over $75). Plus, going this route you don't have to worry about getting counterfeit OEM parts.

I’ll have to mess around with that site a little more. My local dealer is listed as a participant on that site but for whatever reason the dealer chargers over msrp considerably. For instance bed mat. 120msrp from Toyota parts. “Participant dealer 144$“. Just paid 87$ for my serpentine belt from the same participating dealer. Much cheaper through Toyota parts.

If you don't mind me asking, what dealer was it or what city are you searching in?

Participant dealer is Parker. Full disclosure, no shade on them. They are excellent.

edit. So you don’t think I’m full os.

Yeah, wow, charging over MSRP! If I didn't know any better I'd think they were a SoCal dealer.

In that particular case/area you have to keep going down the list (i.e. increase mile radius) until you start finding dealers who offer a discount. Or if you already know of a particular dealer (even if they're in another state) that typically sells at a discounted rate, just look them up on there (or order through their own website).

Thanks for the tip, I’ll try that. This entire region (N Id, W MT) is the new so cal it seems nowadays.

Look on the bright side, you're getting part of the SoCal experience (inflated prices) w/o even having to travel there! ;)

Really? I'll keep that in mind next time I get rotors.
However, My Tacoma is an access cab base modle and is not jacked up with lift mods or giant wheels and I don't go off road.
I have owned my truck since it was new and have had 2 sets of Toyota rotors on my truck without any warping for the entire 120K miles that is on the truck.

Of all the online dealer/sellers, FOR ME, Conicelli is pretty consistently the cheapest. Sometimes the selling price is a little higher (though always cheaper than MSRP), but once shipping is added, they are almost always cheaper than the others.
