Yep, my last one that was faster than most 4 wheeled vehicles got 70+ mpg.
Don't need to, a lot of motorcyclists in this state (and a few more) drain the system by not wearing helmets. :bananadead:

Hell 1/3 of the ones I see for sale don't have a title and half of the ones on the road don't have a plate. No tax credit needed :luvya:

Benefit of Colorado! You can pretty much ride a 2-stroke oil burner on the highway with only a headlight and you're good to go!

    Yep.
Every single budgetary problem, inflation, recessions that aren't recessions, starving kids in third world countries, all of it can be traced right back to some guy who rode a motorcycle without a helmet.
You should take that budget surplus check you just got and buy a couple helmets to hand out to the next people you see without one.

I already do. And for those wearing a helmet that don't even strap it, I educate them how to actually strap it, because it's just going to pop off when they crash at 110mph swerving around a left lane overlander.

Polis pennies are a good start towards something else I suppose.

Where off I-25? I'll be passing through Saturday but south side of springs and I only make it as far as the DTC

"Polis" pennies.. just means Colorado collected too much in taxes and has to give it back to us peasants. Glad it's a law

I recall reading somewhere it was in the neighborhood of 185% what should have been collected on the year. Polis gets praised as a savior in the end for handouts. See ya next April for the same circus.

We were up there in mid July and it was closed dropping down to the east. Snow, i would think it should be open now.

And boy do they hate that law. Constantly trying to get rid of it.
Doesn't stop them from doing it early to try to craft a narrative going into midterms though

Are you worried if it's too tough for your truck? If so, it's not.

The lifep04 battery showed up swollen bigger than a prom night pecker.

But the voltage was fine at 13.7 out of the box. It has been charging and discharging just fine except it won't hit 14.6, but at rest 13.5-13.7 is normal and it gets there.
So i contacted the company anyway just to see if the swelling is a concern. The type of cells these have aren't prone to that kind of thing, so maybe the case got hot sitting in the van for a few days.

Anyway, they replied this morning and were very concerned and wanted pictures and what the resting voltage was after a full charge.
So that was all sent off, waiting to see what they have to say. Personally i think the battery is fine, just a cheap ABS case that melted a bit. But thought they should know.

What kind of battery is it?

Some of those can be the "keep you warm for the rest of your life" type electric blanket if they decide to catch on fire :luvya:

it's a Lifep04, supposed to be pretty stable. Ampere Time is the brand
Here is the response I got back from China.

    Dear Brett,
    Thank you for your message,!
If it’s convenient for you, could you please provide us with some pictures or videos about the swollen battery? And please kindly also provide us the SN code on the battery case, we would like to collect relevant information and feed it back to our warehouse to avoid this problem happening again.
In general, if it’s swollen on the top of the battery, the reason is the internal EVA cotton takes the design of overfill fit to better fix the internal battery cell module, making the internal structure more reliable, the battery cell module will not shake in the internal and is not a bulging shell caused by the expansion of the battery cell.
As you mentioned that you're using the NOCO Genius 10 charger, please confirm to choose the lithium-mode of it. In general, if the battery rest voltage remains at 13.4V or higher, the battery has been fully charged. ( Pls test the voltage after disconnecting them from charging for over 15-30mins).
    Look forward to your update!
    Best wishes,
    Your friend Teague
    From Ampere Time

I dunno, it's seems fine. If they want to exchange it though, that would be cool too.
Maybe ship it next week when it's cooler...
