I am pretty bummed out. I bought them off ebay and on the description it clearly states that they were powder coated black... well to my suprise when I got home they were bare metal!

Any clue on the cost to powder coat rock sliders? Here is a picture of one of them. I like how they slapped the shipping labels directly to the sliders for a nice easy removal for me

If I were you I'd go buy some sort of truck bed liner spray and go that direction. It would look badass and hold up pretty well against the environment/scratches/

I thought you step on them not sit on them....and the truck bed liner would be a better grip so your GF won't eat it on the way up! :D

How should I prep them? Any primer, rustoleum etc? There are some spots that are a little rusty looking.

I got mine for $300 to my door w/ $70 off from the ebay live.com deal. So $230 shipped brand new thought it was a steal until I found out they weren't powder coated! Lol.

Priming coudn't hurt. I would just do many, many coats of the liner. I know there are some members on here that did there bumpers etc. with the same method I hope they chime in and help you out.

    getting there....
if i were you, i'd wipe them down with laquer thinner, then scuff them up a bit, then wipe them with laquer thinner one more time.............then they'll be ready for coating.
