Yea seent that! Think Ullie is a Carolina dog meets all the traits but the only difference is his color and eyes are off from all the ones we’ve seen. We knew he wasn’t a husky like the shelter said, but just trying to narrow him down.

    That’s a good boy photo!

We used to give our dogs pork. One day our girl at the time got really sick. Vet said never give dogs pork, $600 later lesson learned.

I have heard that too. One strip of bacon isn't going to cause a bunch of problems (I hope..20 years of doing it). I had @G.T. give me the same advice about giving too much pork and I value his advice (as I do yours).

Dogs can eat unseasoned cooked pork tho the danger probably comes from raw pork and the possibility of trichinosis--raw pork is a big no-no for humans too. It's also possible seasoned meats, especially those that have garlic or garlic powder, onions or onion powder, nutmeg or other things dogs should not have.

It's amazing how many sauces and other foods have seasonings dogs shouldn't eat.

Yeah, all my pork products are cooked in a LOT of onion and garlic, which is why we don't share it with the girls. I once had a hound who taught me that pork chop bones shatter into super sharp splinters, so they don't get those either.

Beef bones, however, cause a zoomies party.

It’s Amazes me how I have to argue with my family not to feed the dog food that we eat because of all the seasonings.
They all say it’s just a little piece. It won’t hurt him.

I tell them if he gets sick they’re paying the vet bill and they say I’m mean.
Hahaha. There dogs are always sick and are unhealthy. I wonder why?

When we adopted Tessa about six months ago, I just decided no table scraps because so much of it is bad for them. That being said, she thinks she's getting something special when I take a raw carrot or the bottom inch of a banana or a peice of sweet potato that I'm eating and give it to her. Only downside is that she now expects it and has taken the "begging" position when we sit down to eat. But we're working on that too!

If you don't want begging, put your pup in their crate.

That doesn't teach her not to or instill a disciplined response to commands. We have her learning to lay down near us when we are eating, which will pay dividends when we're making dinner or doing other things where we don't want her under foot.

By crating, you are letting your dog know dinner time is one of relaxation for them. Commanding to a place is fine too.

Kimo had is neuter surgery today. Picked him up about an hour ago and he's definitely out of it. Hasn't moved. Must be pretty uncomfortable...

Kilo jumped up on my 10 year olds bean bag. Guess it’s comfy.
