So first alignment don’t know where it was set, second was set to factory, so in other words we need more positive caster?

yeah, youre going to rub with the factory alignment specs. You need a "custom" alignment to push the wheel forward a little bit in the wheel well... basically a normal alignment but they need to push castor out at far as they can while keeping other numbers within spec.

I can spit off bits about +2* castor and adjustable upper control arms and blahblahblah

edit. just saw your on 34's like me and NOT on the more common 285/70/17's

you need to read this. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/285-75r17-perfect-size-on-3rd-gen.588590/

edit 2. well wait a minute...

your thread title says 285/70/17 but your OP says 285/75/17
things are going to be a little different between those two tires

A 285/70 is approx 33’ and should work with the caster, 285/75 is just shy a 34’ may need to chopping.

The -12mm wheel offset is a big contributor, since the tire is swinging on a half inch wider arc. Switch 0mm offset wheels if you're able and willing.

Oscillating tool or flap disc cuts plastic pretty well. :)

Sorry just caught that we’re on 285/70/17 trimmed a bit of plastic which helped a bit I’d just like to avoid the pinch welds n a cmc due to the truck still being under warranty for motor and trans

Pinch weld and CMC have no bearing on the powertrain warranty. The dealer may give you the runaround though for having larger tires, depending on how much of an a-hole the particular service writer is. If you need warranty work done, bring it in on stock tires.

No way that’s a 3.5” lift. Doesn’t look like it from that picture you posted anyways.
As others said, get a good alignment and you’ll still have to trim a bit. I was lifted maybe 2” and rubbed on my plastic a little(same tire size and wheel offset) I did do a small cmc but don’t think it was needed.

    Enough for now
Plastic will trim itself if you really want it to. You NEED a CMC or relocation to fix tires rubbing on the metal mount.

Yea I figured it shouldn’t affect warranty doing cmc and away with the pinch welds that’s just a good way to show the dealership I was running over size tires going to get it realigned Saturday see if we can push more positive camber.. driver side is the real problem I rub cabin mount a bit passenger side when turning on flex but driver sides rubbing igetting into a parking spot lol

    *sorry meant caster

More caster, not camber. Camber should be close to 0 deg or tire wear will be rapid.

that looks nothing like a 3.5 or even a 3 inch lift. 2" at most.
Looks like you have aftermarket UCA's, can move the caster forward to clear the cab mounts and then chop the front fender plastic.

There are lift that don't advise them to be used at their max height.
You might have a 3" lift, and I'll bet RC doesn't recommend that setting for safety reasons.
CMC and a little trimming should help.
My 0 offer wheels with same tire size do not make contact anywhere

On the LCA the rear caster adjustment needs to go all the way out, the front needs to go all the way in. Then they need to set the camber and toe. This should net you 2°-4° which is what you need to not rub.

0 offset wheels would have helped you a lot.

Btw how are you liking the RC lift minus the rubbing?

    eta:
You are also a Long Bed which usually means you get a little less lift than us short bed folk

CMC, custom alignment, and budget for new CVs.
At 3.5 inches, your going to destroy the boots and the CVs are going to hate you.
    Good luck with your truck.

Let’s not be dramatic. There are 1000s of folks running RC, Rancho, Dobinsons, Icon and Fox at 3”+ without “destruction”. I’ve bumped into a few that still have their needle bearing with no complaints.

Rough County N3s are going to settle around 3” and provide a decent ride out of the deal.

Boot side mod, being smart while wheeling and he’ll be fine.

Haven’t had any issues with the rc lift still feels like a factory ride feels a lot better on trails (on stock we’d hit the bump stops pretty often) beside having a bit of rub which a better alignment took care of as for stressing out cvs I really didn’t see the angle change much but I did do a 1” front diff drop still running stock needle bearings no wiggle or vibes
