2022 Double cab Tacoma limited with 1700 miles.
I travel mostly alone and I’ve noticed a severe passenger seat vibration and rattle while driving. Has anyone experienced this or have any suggestions other than removing the seat completely to eliminate the vibration or rattle of the unoccupied passenger seat. Thanks in advance!
All the connecting hardware is tight.

It's kinda normal, but I have had success with re-balancing the tires to reduce the vibration on the un occupied seat. Oddly enough it was a limited with 18's the last time I saw this.

    Warranty should cover it.

Never even thought about that. It rides so smooth compared to my other vehicles. I’ll try that. Thanks for the input

Are you sure it isn't something rattling in your console. I had the socket for my wheel lugs in there and it rattled and thought it was the passenger seat. just saying. Other than that I have no rattles at all.

My 2017 Limited (no power seats) would rattle sometimes at the front passenger seat. Increasing the angle of the seat-back a notch or two when unoccupied seemed to solve it.

I have a 2019 and mine rattles also when I adjust it and no one is sitting in it. Whenever I adjust the seat I give it a smack in the back and it locks in place and no more rattling. It seems when sliding it back and forth it does not fully lock into place and the smack on the lower part in the back locks it in and solves the issue for me.

Mine is the same in my '21. I'm not too worried about it.

this, I have had various vehicle do this and usually changing seat angle helps. It usually seems when someone was riding laid way back, like back seat back (not sure how and why the hell people do this)

Nothing in the truck except me and a phone charger. I mean it visibly shakes like a dog pooping a peach seed!

My limited does the same. I bought some felt stick on pads and placed it on the seat in between the side bolster and center console lid where it rubs. That mostly eliminated the noise. The angle and position of the seat on the track makes a difference also so adjust that and find what works best. The problem is the console is wedged in Between the seats. The seat belt buckle is also knot to rattle against the plastic on the pillar, some felt stick ons can help here too. I know it seems like you shouldn’t have to on a new vehicle but…Tacoma

I had a 2017 TRDOR and have a 2021 TRDOR, and both have done this with the passenger seat unoccupied and at 65+mph. I usually just turn the radio up!!

Im having the same problem with my 2022 TRD Offroad. Once i go above 70mph the passenger back rest looks like it’s getting hit with a jackhammer. Had all four tires remounted and balanced with no luck. Dealership has no clue what’s causing it..

A primitive (in all the best, glorious ways) is what's causing it. This isn't a Lexus EX. I'm learning to cope with it.

Sorry but I have way more primitive and stiff cars and trucks that don’t do this. 1st gen Tacoma, lifted with bigger wheels and tires, the passenger seat moves less than the new Tacoma.

My 2020 Taco 4 door crew LB also rattles the passenger seat. The dealer replaced the seat and it still does it. A bit annoying.

My 2020 OR DCSB Premium with leather had this annoying passenger seat squeak/rattle against the center console.A micro fibre cloth jammed between the seat and console fixed it..lol..My 2022 DCLB Sport Prem with leather doesnt do it...go figure.
