Sweet, I only glanced at a few googled recipes haha. I did notice even after a few hours the peppers were starting to look the part

My main cabinet in the dining room now only has stuff in it I can find regularly. Not necessarily cheap, there are plenty of 50-100 range bottles in there, but if a large group of guests snuffs one in a single night, I can get another. So help yourselves.

The Ask-First cabinet has things I rarely or never see and would not like opened/consumed without permission.

@Bowhuntercoop and I had a great tasting session at the beginning of the year, but he just had a newborn daughter so I think he’s taking a break from the bourbon world for a bit

I gave it up for awhile. Honestly was pounding it to hard and it was hurting my workouts. Decided to take a step back and self evaluate. I still watch the thread and check in on the secondary prices haha. Have flipped a few bottles but haven’t had a sip since the day @AugustaTaco and I had some.

I sold the entire collection and made over 10 grand haha. Bought some more silencers, ordered a new custom longbow, and banked the rest.

I would rather spend the time chasing the baby around, throwing the weights around, and chasing the deer in the woods is all. Maybe someday I will dabble in it again but for now I’m feeling pretty good!

awesome! Good for you, just haven’t seen you post in awhile I was worried

even if I quit drinking I don’t know if I could part with my collection, I figure my oldest will make I mint when I die

how’s the farm? Get any livestock yet?

as far as deer…I got almost 2 acres of food plots seeded and am seeing good germination, got lucky with some passing storms. Probably hanging 3-4 stands this weekend. Super excited to get out there this fall

I've got some Thai peppers growing now but didn't plant any others this year. Wish I did. Last year I did Thai, jalapeño and poblano/ancho. Could have skipped the pablos...

Nice! His Thai peppers are extra spicy this year lol. Off the top of my head he’s growing jalapeños, Thai, cayenne, Tabasco, habanero and ghost. He didn’t do Carolina reapers again this year because they were basically useless since they were so hot haha

I opened the Baker’s tonight. It’s not very smooth, has a slightly sweet finish but also a little bite at the end. It’s better with an ice cube.

Not sure it’s worth $60 but I’ll let it sit in the cabinet for a few weeks and give it another try. I’ve had a few that I wasn’t thrilled about at first that have grown on me, maybe this will too.

There's a Dave's Hot Chicken (chain) that just opened near me that uses the Carolina Reaper on their hottest option. I'll skip that and try a lower heat chicken. I don't understand wanting something so hot on your food that you can't taste it.

Come to think of it, there's two other new "hot chicken" places near me; Angry Chicks Nashville Hot Chicken and Raising Cain (still under construction). Seems to be the new craze around here.

Is it “Raising Cane’s?” If so, they had those when I lived in New Orleans 12 years ago.

It’s basically a Zaxby’s but with edible food. I wish they had one here. I don’t remember a hot/spicy chicken option but it’s been a while.

I’ve only seen them around Louisiana, Mississippi and Ohio.

My first and only experience with Raising Cane's was when I was in New Orleans for work. I seem to remember Chuck Norris posters on every vertical surface. I haven't seen one since. And now that you mention it, I don't remember them having hot/spicy. Maybe this is the first one in California?

They've had Canes in SoCal for a hand full of years. Lines around the block every day. I went once, that was enough. Breaded chicken strips, woopty doo.

I tried it yesterday at a restaurant, the guy covering the bar was clearly not normally a bartender, he served it to me over an enormous amount of ice. Maybe that worked out. I enjoyed the glass, but knowing the price decided I wouldn’t buy a bottle.

Yea the “Nashville hot chicken” is all the rage now, it’s ok…maybe I haven’t had a really good version of it yet :notsure:

We had a Raising Canes here in Augusta years and years ago but I can’t remember if I ever had it. Quick googling shows they’re still in my area but in college towns UGA (Athens) and Clemson, those kids will eat anything lol

    Canes is fantastic.

Chicken strips, fries, and reprocessed industrial machinery lubricant dipping sauce.

Ideal if you have the drunkies or just want to do something horrible to your nutritional intake.
