I have the app (I think) and the VIN.

    Mine just shows:

Vehicle Status - No data found

Health & Alerts - No safety recalls; Engine good

Service Appointments - Vehicle is up to date

Dealer told me it was at the port, and should be at the dealership Monday or Tuesday next week.

I'd ask @Rod03 to check the VIN, but I'm in FL, so I'm under the impression he can't look at those?

I may be able to see the build date on the spec sheet.

Well halle-freaking-lujah. It ain't exactly over yet, but do I win the prize for the longest wait?

August 31, 2021 - First meeting with dealer.
September 1, 2021 - Paid deposit and started waiting.
Easter 2022 - Best guess from dealer on when to expect something. (They told me to expect a VERY long wait for a Pro with 6MT)
July 6, 2022 - Scheduled build date. (Delayed)
July 27, 2022 - Build completed at Guanajuato Assembly Plant
July 29, 2022 - Arrived at Lazaro Cardenas port
August 9, 2022 - Left Lazaro Cardenas port en route to Long Beach
    August 21, 2022 - ?? Most Likely Delivery Day ??

    355 day duration.

    Anybody longer than that?

Many, many thanks to @Rod03 for shining a glimmer of hope my way.

@RDW59565 , I think the trick to getting a Mag Grey 6MT is to order a Lunar Rock 6MT OR with premium package.

I was calling to dealers and one said "Don't have that, but we have a MGM 6MT Pro that nobody has claimed yet"

Put the reservation down 6/25 (that's twenty twenty two mind you!), built on 8/1, and apparently didn't catch the boat on 8/9. :(. (I'm secretly hoping it did, just didn't get updated!)

There is no rhyme nor reason why I should wait significantly less than you, the way Toyota does things is really bad for the consumer.

You are so right. It makes no sense to me. If you have ever studied the Toyota production method (Toyota is the gold standard for Lean Manufacturing), you would have learned that the optimum production system relies on the end user "pulling" what they need through your manufacturing processes. In reality, their allocation system seems to be the polar opposite of this philosophy, they build what they want and shove it into the supply chain. Still scratching my head, but happy to have a light at the end of the tunnel. I'm sure that a big part of my wait is the fact that the dealer I purchased from sells Pros at MSRP and all other models at MSRP minus $500. No games, no silly add-ons. As a result, they already had a significant waiting list when I showed up.

For waiting that long, they could throw in some stuff like a bed mat, a bed cover, floor liners, bed lights, mud flaps, sill guards, gas card, waive of doc and destination fees (specially the latter), or a decent parts discount. Swag man - you deserve some. Seriously, ask. You might just be their most patient customer. I don't know. And I mean, it might make them feel better. :smack:

What was the package/ option for this roof rack system? I haven't seen an OEM system that stores like that. Maybe I need to comb through Toyota.com

    *edit
Just combed through Toyota accessories. $340 is not bad and takes about 35 minutes to install. Nice.

The cross bars are integral to the rails. IIRC, you undo a allen-headed bolt and one swings forward, and another swings back. I have these on an Outback.

Yes looks exactly the same as the Subaru Outback system we had on our 2017.

@Rod03 can I get an update on this when you have time? Hoping it arrived by rail and waiting for a truck ride to the dealer, but haven't heard anything from them.

    VIN: 3TYCZ5AN9NT093698

    Thanks!

I love the system they have on the 2020 outback. Uses a pull-up latch to unlock the cross bars. No Hex Wrenches required.

Good morning @Rod03, it's been about a week since my last check-in and now well past when my dealer said the truck should arrive. Truck was built exactly a month ago! Could you check on this for me? 3TMCZ5ANXNM516669 My dealer says it's in San Diego but if it hasn't gone through processing wouldn't that mean it's still in Baja? Thanks for your help.
