The hoops people will jump through to justify buying garbage built by slave labor from a totalitarian communist regime that hates us amazes me.

Yes there are times where there are not many good options. How in the vast majority of the cases the "I cant afford to buy cheap" concept comes into play when you consider the longevity/durability of the product.

i have a liberator 2 and two sentinels. i love the green dot option and shake n wake feature. after having used them for several months, i can’t justify continuing to use my eotech or deltapoint.

Can't we all just get along?

We already have enough anti-2A pricks trying to take our shit...no need to have infighting and get this thread locked, too

I think it's the same with Holosun? I know Vortex has a very wide range of optics and some are made in China, but they have a "high end" line of Japanese glass that easily stands toe to toe with anything out there. I have a Razor HD on my precision rifle and it ROCKS.
Shameless flex, I shot this 3-shot group with commercial .308 Sierra Matchking ammo:
    20220326_135132.jpg

Anyways like I said, I only really push people towards the higher end models (1) to deprive a country we shouldn't be giving money, and (2) because sometimes there is a level of cheap that just can't be recovered from.

If we are talking budget optics though, I do wanna give a shoutout to the Sig Tango MSR as being a STUPID good value.

My girlfriend wanted an AR like my Knights, but she doesn't roll with the same obsession-tier budgeting I do. I ended up recommending her the Tango MSR 1-6 as a stand-in for my Kahles 1-6, and I was downright impressed by the value there.

Of course it doesn't have the same swarovski sorcery that the Kahles does, but damn, it's quite good! Clarity is impressive, the eyebox is forgiving enough, reticle is crisp and bright, and it even came with a decent mount!

I agree 100%. I try to purchase Most everything in my house either USA, or at least an ally. My rifles have Trijicon (MRO, ACOG, AccuPoint) , and Vortext (Razor). Since I was in the market for a pistol optic, and ordered the Shield, and Zero, I figured I'd get the SF and Holosun too, and compare them. Sell the one (s) I didn't want to keep to friends. I DID NOT expect to like the SF as much as i did.

I ran across a new (to me) optic at Expo West. Riton, they are in Tucson. I have one on a pistol and one on wifey's rifle. Really impressed (They had a killer deal at Expo). Better than SF (I have several SF products, big fan). Check them out, share that local AZ love. I haven't tried any of their scopes yet, but will soon.

Great CS, called them after Expo and said I wanted to get two more sets of the deal I got at Expo, they hooked me up, same price, tossed in a few t-shirts, free shipping. My dad took one of the sets and @llibrm wanted the other, if he doesn't pick it up soon, I am keeping it, they are that nice.

First hand experience with swampass optics here.

    Save your money.

I was complementing the rifle, criticizing the optic. Pretty sure neither were made by anyone here.

Didn't get to put any rounds downrange because I wasn't sure of fire restrictions where I was, but got to work with IR illumination and passive navigation with my PVS-14. It's a big adjustment. You absolutely will still walk straight into bushes you don't see if you're not scanning properly.

And holy crap passive aiming vs using a laser is night and day. I understand why people say to only go passive if you absolutely have to.

I have a single shot 12 gauge, I will have to double-check the barrel length tonight if interested.
