    3RZ swap time!

mod anyone has firsthand experience massaging a 3RZ into a Pickup I’m looking for a few extra hands.

this won’t be some “let’s hope it works” budget build. This is a “money pit” build. New Harness, JDM import motor, proper engine mounts ordered, it’s a proper build.

It would be “that much easier” with skilled hands and sharp minds to help the process along.

22RE has been pulled, engine bay being doll’d up a little each day.

plan is to do the install on Sat the 20th

Some rust free truck porn to motivate you to help. Food will be served, bring your favorite tools!

    DATE: 8:20:22
    TIME: EARLY, cause the hot
LOCATION: Mesa (Higley @ Southern) DM for address
LUNCH: TBD but likely will be voted on…..or I can break out the smoked meat machine

Yeah, I saw that on the news in the last few days. That Salt looked like mess and complete shit show from the rain. We haven't had much rain this summer until the last couple of weeks or so. Monsoon storms have been in full effect too. Monster storms, lots of flash flooding and the like.

Looked like the cheerleaders squad that was out there washing vehicles in Wendover was having some major fun.

Might be able to come by and lend a hand. Would be interested in it anyways as I plan to swap my 86 down the road. What are your plans with the RE?

I was bummed last summer when they said it was the last time they'd be out there launching rockets. Some of the big ones get above 2k feet off the deck in elevation. The FAA puts a no fly zone to open the skies for those rockets too!

heard that. I've thought about converting my 22R to fuel injection.. (hence the question) but yeah.. I think I'll just wait until I'm ready to fully commit and just do it all once.

I haven’t pulled my motor yet. The motor swap that I posted about is actually for a buddy. His 22RE overheated and when he decided to do his I figured I would do the same.

you are welcome to check out my 22RE and even test drive it. I rebuilt it in 2009 but my ride is a 4runner and even after the refresh, regear the larger tires and lift just didn’t help

I’ll send you the address for the mod day

I’ll also report back w smoked meat options.

I've driven quite a few RE's. lol I was just seeing if there was a really cheap possibility to convert it to make it worth it. haha. I'll just stick to my original plan and continue to beat up this little 22R.

Sounds good. I should be able to make it. Might see what other Pickup goodies you guys have... I have a collection in my garage as well.

Haha. No payments needed man.. But thanks. And it's all good. I'm not looking to buy it all anyways.. I'm holding out. Was really just if you were scrapping the motor or parting it out. Some beer for misc parts kinda thing. Next time I'm spending any more money on this thing will be when it goes under the knife for the full overhaul/conversion.
