Her is my long bed cement 2021 TRD offroad with every option. Currently waiting on my BA Hiline bumper and rough country roof rack to come in. I'll be adding my warn winch and a 20 inch dual row light to the bumper and the roof rack was ordered with their 40in light. Trail Demon Fabrication is going to be building my rocksliders. Its sitting on a Toytec coilover lift with diff drop and sway bar relo kit on 32s. 33s are next up for tires.20220723_173542.jpg

Just stumbled across this and found it really helpful. My DCLB OR is getting delivered soon and I’m concerned about it looking too low to the ground because of the long bed. I don’t do much off-roading - and so I’ve wondered what the best options are for gaining just a bit of height to aesthetically make the truck look better and seem more proportional. How much did the spacers/blocks/install set you back, if you don’t mind my asking? Good point about the tires too - I’d planned/hoped to keep the stock tires but can see how they will seem smaller once the truck is a bit taller.

Just perusing this thread and stumbled across your post - a really interesting perspective. I’m waiting on my DCLB Off-Road to be delivered and definitely have concerns that it will looks strangely disproportionate because of the longbed, so I’ve considered listing just for aesthetic purposes. But I have wondered about the potential that problems and trade offs of doing a lift. This is also my first truck and lifting is totally new to me. Wondering if the Toyota Factory lift would be a safer bet? (If they’ll do it; I’ve read they usually won’t on long beds). Or someone else mentioned using spacers and blocks (I think that’s what they’re called) to achieve a more proportional look.

    I don't mind at all.
I believe it was $599 for the spacers and blocks. That included installation, wheel alignment and sensor recalibration. My dealer also included the lift under the 3 year/36,000 mile warranty since they put it all on before I took delivery.

Almost forgot...the new KO2's were a little over $1k installed at Discount tire.

Awesome, thanks. Good to have some sense of the price. And those tires look great. So the dealer did the spacers and blocks? I’m looking at maybe doing those instead of a lift. I’ve heard the dealerships won’t do the Factory Lift on long beds; but maybe this is another option instead? Truck should arrive at dealership soon, so wanting to decide what I want done on it before I take delivery. And how to explain to them what I want lol (I’m new to trucks and lifts and tires and pretty much all of it! :))

edit to ask also: how are you liking the tires? Any change in how it rides? MPG? I’m mostly going to be on pavement, plus weekend camping trips, forest service roads, dirt roads whenever I can. Not planning on anything more than beginner off-road so don’t want to get tires that too negatively impact the ride day to day.

I did my research and this was the best option for me. I can't tell you a difference in ride quality with the lift as it was put on by the dealer before I drove it. From reading peoples opinions online it does sound like you will lose some ride quality due to the lift but I think it's funny when people say "It rides more like a truck after the lift." since it IS a truck.
As far as gas milage with the new tires I am getting 20-21 on the highway so I probably lost a mile or 2. I live close to where I work so losing a mile or 2 of gas milage was no big deal to me but everyone's situation is different so you will have to decide how important gas milage is to you.
As far as ride quality with the new tires I only had the stock tires for 30 miles so I didn't drive it much with the stock tires on. I will say the KO2's are much better than the Nitto Ridge Grapplers I had on my f-150 as far as ride quality goes.

To summarize you will lose a little ride quality and gas milage so you just need to decide if those 2 are more important than looks. To me spending $1500 and sacrificing a little ride quality and gas milage is worth it but it won't be to everyone.

    Good luck

Suspension is stock. Tires are 265 70 17 BFG AT's. Wheels are SCS Ray 10 , 17x8.5 -12 offset. Slight rub fixed by a little plastic trimming.

Thanks, really appreciate that input. And yes I’ve seen the “it will ride more like a truck” comment about lifts which definitely makes me chuckle cause, yep, it is a truck. Anyway, I’ll keep researching and will talk to my dealer about what lift options they can do before I officially take delivery - and go from there. Thanks again.

When people say that, they mean it rides shittier and more harsh. Truck, be it as it may, can still be comfortable if the setup is carefully considered.
