Yes, they are working like OEM so no issue there. Good thought though!

I tried both OEM and replacement (Yamaha part as well) and both acted the same way. Guys on my motorcycle forum suggested there is a short somewhere. Have no idea where to start with that but guess I'll watch a few vids!

Thanks! I'm thinking I'll probably ride "as is" for now. I've got a few local folks that might be able to learn me something when they have time. :D

Here's my "oh sh!t" video I mentioned from my ride last weekend. Keep safe out there folks and stay alert. You never know when something will come rolling out from the vehicle ahead.
Edit: sorry about the old Hero4 video quality

Not a bad idea, may give that a try next time. Guess it just depends on location really.

Man I want to go to Iconic. I follow them on instagram and am constantly in awe of the random finds they can bring in. They're killing it.

Just dropped $220 at REI on moto camp stuff. (Luckily its in gift cards)

got a tent, sleeping pad, cook set, utensils, and a saw. Wont be camping in the winter on the bike, so i haven't bought a sleeping bag. I might just use a down blanket. Only thing left that I want to get is a dry duffel. Then I need to do a load out and see if everything fits.

Also may need to make/modify the brackets that I have for the Kriega setup. One side is just hanging there, and the other rests on the exhaust heat shield.

Need @AR15xAR10 to show me around Green Ridge State Park for more camping. Supposedly theres over 100 miles of gravel. Its probably graded, but at least its not pavement.

I’ve been wanting to get a set of soft pannier for my 09 vstrom 650 for awhile.

A couple weeks ago I decided to make own from 18oz vinyl coated polyester fabric I have left over from my tent camper.

It’s pretty UV stable and overall durable.

The backing is .050 aluminum I had left over from my camper and fellon foam I used in a padded gear box. The foam is adhered to the aluminum with 3M 90 spray adhesive. EF76BB44-59FE-4981-905A-A523751D32C4.jpg

Almost done. I still need to finish the roll tops.

I took them on a weekend camping trip a few weeks ago.
They worked really well. Maybe a little too big and they could use small external pockets.

    Have fun and stay loose!

Gonna try to get my cut wire soldered and flush the OEM brake fluid tomorrow. If things go extremely well, I should have some time to ride. That's a big IF!
