Clearly a wheelchair conversion van, doesn't appear to be in a handicap spot but only ~10" into the hashed zone. Maybe the handicap stall was occupied? Maybe since this spot was open they decided to pass on a possibly open handicap spot in case someone more in need of it came?

    Depends on your age perhaps.

Mopeds were a big deal in the 70's and bigger girls carried a certain stigma back then.

Nowadays scooters and curvy girls are both popular.

I'd end up in the hospital if I got on a scooter...

    ...I like a curvy girl... ;)

I think they are trying to make up the revenue loss by, get this, seat heater subscriptions. Yes, buy an expensive BMW then pay a monthly fee to heat the seats. Which you paid for.

Next up; headlight and brake-light subscriptions! Driving the twisties at night on your way home, then it suddenly occurs to you "I forgot to pay my headlight bill"! Uh oh. They thought about turn signal subscriptions, but BMW owners don't use them anyway.

Not parking but I'm sure the gentleman I saw today is crappy at parking as well.

I'm sitting at a construction zone red light, they are doing bridge work. A shiny Durango pulls up on the off ramp side and stops at the red light, he drove past the blinker sign that says "No right on red due to oncoming traffic", there are also at least two "no turn on red signs".

After a few seconds of waiting he decides his time is too valuable to sit at lights or obey laws and makes an illegal right on red down the single lane. About 3/4 of the way there ("X" spot) a tri-axle dump truck turns the corner into the single lane -- he has both the right of way and weighs in around 40,000 pounds probably.

Confident in his right of way, tri-axle guy was accelerating right along without concern.

Durango guy on the other hand rapidly recomputed his busy schedule and made a hasty reverse to his point of origin.

They installed temporary traffic lights on both sides of the work zone. It is bridge refurbishment so I believe they plan on being there a while, 3 weeks already.
