Its not difficult at all. My installers didn't use the valve with the ports on it as pictured in the video as at the time, it was another 150$ and it was backordered. What they did instead was use 2 'T' fittings with quarter turn valves with a threaded fitting for garden hoses. I'm not a plumber so I don't know the exact name of those fittings. So I used the vinegar in the 5 gal bucket with the hoses and a return line placed into the bucket. Closed all the valves that needed to be closed and opened the ones that needed to be opened. Pretty simple right? I left it running as its supposed to run for an hour or so to cycle the vinegar through the cores. At some point during the cycle, the return hose slipped out of the bucket and all the vinegar was distributed into my garage where the tankless was placed. Long story short, make sure you secure your hoses into the bucket lest you return to a mess. Living in a new house now and the warranty replacement wouldn't cover switching from a tank to tankless but I absolutely loved my tankless water heater. The only downside to it is if you loose power you wont have hot water. I had an all electric unit but I would assume that the gas unit wouldn't heat either since the flow sensing switch wouldn't have power.

Possibly a dumb question, but I was looking at framing nailers for an upcoming project and HD had two types - 20 Degree and a 30 Degree. What is the difference because I asked at the store and the person I spoke with wasn't sure? Thank you

Looks like the 30 degree gun uses clipped nails instead of the 20 degree having full nail heads.

After me asking you all a couple months ago about these and us being on our last cartridge for our current filter system (which sucks) I'll be installing this this weekend.

    this is typically true ^

Also usually 21 degree nails are plastic collated while 30 are paper or wire

you can get 30 degree full round head nails though , I use 30 degree nailers with Senco offset full round head Prohead nails and I believe Paslode makes a full round head 30 degree nail , there may be others as well

If anyone can heck it up, I'm anyone.

When he was explaining about the fittings I paused the video and went out to the garage to make sure I have them. Looks like I do, but they're in an awkward spot angled toward the wall facing a corner.

    Thanks for the advice.

Not much a chance of running out of power. We're on a solar and battery backup system. Would recommend.

 Those prices. Nice hammers though. If I swung one for a living Im sure Id have one.

That Vaughn is perfect for me however. Ive put through hell and back and it keeps going. Snapped a few handles off some cheaper ones.

Rinnai recommends 2-4 gallons of distilled vinegar only (works just fine and it's cheap) and I like this kit from Kelaro...

    https://www.amazon.com/Kelaro-Tankl...prefix=hot+water+heater+flush+,aps,114&sr=8-6

YouTube videos explain how to connect the hot/cold hoses and isolate the valves. I flush for 1hr minimum and then connect a garden hose and let it flush out into the street or wherever for a few minutes after.

Some of the harsher flush chemicals can potentially eat away the insides of the tank.

Nice! FYI, I left my hoses long so I can pull the whole assembly out from under the sink to swap filters.

Someone hit our mailbox last night at 1:48am. Maybe drunk, texting or both. Annoying to wake up to seeing it on the ground. Good thing is that it didnt hit the post just the cross horizontal part so i screwed it back in. May put in nails later but thats all i had at the time.

I’m trying to flush my water heater but the shutoff valves are both stuck. Am I missing something?

How should I go about fixing the drywall?

I got a new breaker panel. I now have a slight gap along the side and a big gap along the top. I was planning on using a piece of wood along the top but I'm not sure about the sides.
