I dont have one to loan you or else I would. If you get desperate, try Bike Flights. They have a deal through UPS where you book the shipping through the Bike Flights site and drop it off at UPS. The prices are WAY cheaper than just walking into UPS with a boxed bike and asking to ship it, like 50% less. Provide your own box is the only catch but its easy enough and free to just ask a local bike shop for a bike box with the packing materials.

    @Atl-atl,
I’m really and truly sorry but BikeFlights F***ing SUCKS‼️ Trust me if you ship w/ BF lone enough you be on first name basis w/ Gordon @ BF’s! Read some negative reviews about BF and you see what I’m taking about! Please Use…

    https://www.shipbikes.com/

This company uses FedEx and they have far better SERVICE & rates!

Go into Rage on Thomas, then nicely asked the guys in the shop if they could be so kind as to save you a bike box. Wouldn’t hurt to slide them a 5 or 10 for their troubles. Then they will bend over backwards to make sure you have everything you need. They sometimes just cut the top of the box then you can’t reuse the box. Ask if they can pull the staples out so the box can be reused. Then go to Home Depot or Lowes and get hot water pipe installation or Walmart for pool noodles. Make sure to cover the tubes, pack the bike correctly but I’m guessing you know that. Then throw in packing tape and zip ties for the return.
Good luck and keep the skinny side down…
But last time I ended up in the Hospital in Flag (from a big chainring pedal strike) and the cute nurse cut off my $130 bibs to reach under my rear to pull out a good size rock I was laying on that showed up in the X-rays. I ended up getting a phone # but she was a nursing student & too young even back then.
    :annoyed:

Appreciate the offer! I never realized how expensive bike bags are, at least for good ones. I dont know how often I would actually need a bag so the cardboard box is probably what I'll go with. Thanks again!

Yeah I'm already thinking of plan b if I can't nail down a bike bag. Plan b I'd cardboard box with a hodge podge of bubble wrap and noodles. Haha

And that's one way to get the ladies into your pants. I ain't mad at you. Haha.

FedEx sucks. We use both UPS and FedEx for work. Unless you can stay terminal to terminal.
( They even made a movie how FedEx likes to crash planes and loose your packages. Sorry Tom Hanks. )

That’s because they try to hide them. You can search reviews by the star rating. So I will leave it at that!! I didn’t have an issue w/ BF until they switch from FedEx to UPS…
I will say I sold lots of bicycle stuff on FleBay for years and used BF many times on stuff I sold on PinkBike. You will find out sooner or later. Besides didn’t I sell you a set of DT Swiss 700c wheels that the hubs are no longer being manufactured? I remember that I didn’t yet do the final tension on the wheel set before you took them. I usually wait until *I* ride a set of wheels one or two times them put a final tension on them. So I’m guessing they needed trued after a few hard rides. My apologies for not telling you they will need tensioned / trued.
As for BF just read the reviews. Oh and if you give BF anything less then 4 or 5 stars Gordon will contact you to ask you to change the review. He offers discounts on your next purchase and all kinds of things to get you to change the review. I sadly changed a few but I finally got sick and tired of the terrible service with pricing no better than using UPS directly. Just wait until you have an issue with UPS you will find out how good their union customer service is… Now think why would I say this unless I’ve had issues with them?
Oh, I’ve been band from using BF after two negative reviews. I had to pay $45 to take UPS to small claims court. Once they receive the summons they pay right up because they know they will lose. It’s a pain in the @$$ to file and you have to pay a $45 fee to file but the other party has to pay I think it’s $55 to reply if they choose to fight. When they choose not to fight they also reimburse for the fees you have to pay to file. Again you will find out sooner or later.

Edit, Sorry I just noticed you’re in Flag. is Absolute bike shop still open? If I remember correctly it was them that rented out bike cases or it may have been another shop in Flag. If they still do IDK.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Would you be willing to part with gear if your selling any like bags or anything like that? I have a 2019 KTM 790 adv R and trying to buy stuff for it. I bought a mid size adventure bike because I want to get into smaller areas compared to a big bike

Yes, it comes with Archive shackles. I believe they are 4" but I would need to double check. They are wrapped in the white foam. I also have some 5" shackles from RuffStuff since I figured it would be good to have options :)

I do have a Archive relocation but.... it's already welded onto my truck.

I thought about the DRT hangers, especially with his IG introductory offer, but I decided the money would be better spent somewhere else.

nice! I'll be doing the same. I heard that.. I was going to go BAMF honestly.. because of cost and I like his rear bumper and thought I'd get some of his other goodies. But yeah.. DRT posted that up at the perfect time so I messaged immediately and got in on them. Made the cost much easier to justify. Should help nicely with all the weight.. the rear is squishy and sways like a mofo.

With your added weight, the hangars will make it more sturdy and hopefully help with the sway too. What are you running for springs? Sounds like they could be a little too soft for your weight. The quality on the DRT stuff is awesome so you can't go wrong there. And it supports the local economy so it is a double win
