Sounds like you chose a good option. It's good to be close to home for a myraid of reasons ;)

Hell yeah, I loved it every chance I was able to get when I lived in Salinas.

    How's the pup doing?

Shes good. Extremely high energy but Ive pretty much adapted to her by now. Only wears on me after a hard day at work.

Shit, sounding like our little terrier-mix.

She chills right the heck out if I give her anything to chew on, and she loves those bones I tagged Zane in the other day.

Been watching out for those puppy teeth to fall out! None yet (that I've seen).

I only found a couple. Most of the time she would just come running back with her ball or whatever covered in blood. Quick rinse with the garden hose and I could see where she lost one.

Having a commute isn't always terrible... But you're getting a lot of extra time with your wife, pups, land cruiser and redbull vodkas back by not having one :D

I don't care much for boat fishing, but I'd slam a 20hp 2stroker on that an jump some wakes.

Oh fuck yes. That also looks alot easier for the wife to be able to slip off into the water compared to a Jon boat.

Getting back in is a different story ... but so are Jon boats  currently we spend our lake time treating a 2 person inflatable inner tube as a boat. We've gotten some really funny looks when we set it in at the dock and start paddling to our destination on the lake lol

Oh I don’t want it at all haha. I’m just curious of the quality of a multi process machine over a dedicated one. It’s got TIG capability, so I was thinking maybe I’d teach myself.

At least I couldn’t see the rotten deck in my boat, I had to poke around a bit.

I can guarantee you the stringers, the entire floor, and probably the transom are rotten in that thing.

If you do end up getting it, I hope you like fiberglass work and woodworking.

Yea I read that line and thought "the whole fucking boat is gunna be squishy" lol

I'm genuinely happy with the idea of a little 12' aluminum Jon boat. Or maybe a 15' pontoon. I really only need something that can tow an inflatable out into the middle of a lake, and a place to hold gear should the inflatable fail. I'll never take it out on any actual treacherous waters. Ponds and mini lakes for me
